    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive method for reinforcing an existing revetment, which makes a construction period short, which hardly affects a river or a surrounding area, and which is excellent in flood control.
      SOLUTION: This method is used to reinforce the existing revetment which comprises an earth retaining wall having a continuous steel sheet pile 11 supported on subaqueous ground 12 in a riverbank, and a superstructure work section 13 having an upper portion of the steel sheet pile 11 covered with concrete. The horizontal plate is overlapped on the top 1d of the lower hollow block, and the retaining wall is integrally molded at the front edge of the horizontal plate in an upright state. An anti-slide means which prevents relative movement between both surfaces in the horizontal direction is provided between the undersurface of the horizontal plate of the upper block and the top surface of the top of the lower hollow block.
