A packing 12 is provided in the entire periphery of the opening of the mascara housing container 10 and, at the same time, a projection 26 in contact with the entire surface of the inner periphery of the packing is also provided in the brush handle 22. With the projection brought into contact with the entire surface of the inner periphery of the packing, the mascara in the housing container is effectively prevented from leaking.
