    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a reducing agent for adding to foodstuffs by heat processing and water temperature processing respective powders of seashells, such as oyster shells and natural zeolite. SOLUTION: The oyster shells are heated and fired first at 550°C for three hrs, then at 700°C for 5 hrs, further 840°C for 8 hrs to prepare the powder of particle size of 10 μ, the natural zeolite is heat-processed at initial temperature of 250°C for two hrs, and at 750°C for 5 hrs; and thereafter, powder of a particle size of 10 μ is prepared, a mixture of 90% of the powder of the oyster shells and 10 of the powder of the zeolite is ion-changed at equilibrium temperature of water temperature of 90°C for 8 hrs, and thereafter, the mixture dried to the water content ratio of 3% is fired at 840°C for 5 hrs.
