    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microfabricated chip used in a multiplex absorbance type electrophoresia system, and a method of use of the microfabricated chip in proteomics research. SOLUTION: The system uses the microfabricated chip having a sample chamber for first dimension separation of a sample, the first channel plane array substantially perpendicular to the sample chamber and for second dimension separation of the sample, and a barrier for separating the sample chamber from the first channel plane array in the first dimension separation. When used, the sample is put in the sample chamber, the barrier is provided in a circumference of the sample chamber, the sample is brought into isoelectric point electrophoresis in the sample chamber, then the barrier is removed, and the sample is separated by the first channel array in response to a molecular weight.
