    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft for a golf club, having light weight and sufficient stiffness in torsion and in flexure, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.
      SOLUTION: The shaft for the golf club includes each of layers of three or more of: bias layers 11, 12 and 13 made of a fiber-reinforced resin including reinforced fibers that are oriented at bias angles of +α° and -α° to the axis (wherein 20°≤α°≤70°) and having a thickness equal to or thinner than 0.6 mm; and straight layers 21, 22 and 23 made of a fiber-reinforced resin including reinforced fibers that are oriented approximately in parallel to the axis. The bias layers 11, 12 and 13 and the straight layers 21, 22 and 23 are disposed alternately. The most inner layer is the bias layer 11. Either one bias layer 13 of the bias layers 11, 12 and 13 other than the most inner layer 11 is formed from a large-diameter end to a shaft length of 20-40%.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-reinforced resin shaft for golf clubs which has excellently soft ball hitting feeling compared with the conventional one while retaining impact resistance. SOLUTION: This fiber-reinforced resin shaft for golf clubs has a plurality of fiber-reinforced resin layers which include resin formed by hardening epoxy resin composition and reinforced fibers, wherein the epoxy resin composition satisfies the following conditions (a) and (b). The epoxy resin composition includes (a) epoxy resin component including epoxy resin having an oxazolidone ring structure, and (b) 20-30 pts.mass of thermoplastic resin dissoluble in the epoxy resin component with respect to 100 pts.mass of the epoxy resin component.
