    • The present invention relates a device for locking a door capable of locking or unlocking the door using a solenoid. The device for locking the door includes: a body including a positioning part having an open structure at an upper side thereof, and formed therein with one side connected to the positioning part, an opposite side having an open surface, and a lower portion having a hinge; a solenoid coupled with the one side of the body and including a movable iron core and a connection member; a locking part including a locking member inserted into the positioning part of the body and a spring coupled with an outer peripheral surface of the locking member to apply an elastic force to the locking member; a direction switch including a first member rotatably coupled by the hinge formed at the body, a contact part having a round shape making line-contact with an end of the connection member connected to the movable iron core upon operation of the movable iron core formed at the solenoid, and a second member bent at the first member to press a top end of the locking part; and a controller to lock or unlock the locking part by controlling the solenoid. Productivity can be improved by reducing a manufacturing cost and the number of processes through structural changes of the body and the direction switch and a control scheme of the controller. Further, the durability can be improved and power consumption can be reduced by controlling an amount of power from the controller while minimizing an erroneous operation rate by adopting a direct connection structure between the solenoid and the direction switch.
