The digital encoder (14) has a rotatable encoder disk (46) and is mounted so that its longitudinal direction of extent is in alignment with that of the elongate support (10). The drive transmission (16) includes a drive pulley (60) and a loop of cord (18) which is wound around the pulley (62). The pulley (60) drives the rotatable encoder (46) and has a helical groove in its peripheral surface. The cord (18) is engaged in the helical groove and with the slider (12) so that movement of the latter causes the pulley (60), and thereby the rotatable encoder disk (46), to be rotated.

摘要： A combined surface topography and spectroscopic analysis instrument comprises a scanning tunnelling microscope tip (12); and a sample carrier (58) which supports a sample (10) so that a surface thereto to be analyzed is presented towards the tip (12). The sample carrier (58) and the tip (12) are relative movable to enable the distance between the tip (12) and the surface to be varied in use and the sample surface to be scanned in two dimensions by the tip (12). An electronic analyzer is positioned to detect electrons from the tip (12) which have been back-scattered off the sample surface. A voltage controller (59) enables selective operation of the tip (12) in a first voltage range in scanning tunnelling mode, to enable spatial resolution imaging of the sample surface, and in a second, higher, voltage range in electron field emission mode whereby to permit the electron analyzer to analyze the back-scattered electrons. The electron analyzer is positioned so as to detect back-scattered electrons travelling at an angle of less than 20° with respect to the sample surface.

In one embodiment, the liquid pharmaceutical compositions contain testosterone undecanoate, a long chain triglyceride, and lauroglycol. 摘要： A surface testing equipment comprises a holder for holding a specimen to be tested at a predetermined location; a test probe mounted for recoil movement away from the predetermined location in a predetermined direction; means for urging the test probe towards the predetermined location; means for oscillating either the holder or the test probe so as to cause, in use, repeated impacts between the test probe and a specimen; and means for monitoring the position of the test probe. The testing equipment is capable of being used for surface toughness testing or adhesion testing depending upon the nature of the specimen and the mode of operation of the equipment. One such method comprises the steps of: (a) mounting the specimen in a holder; (b) urging a test probe which is capable of recoil movement away from the specimen into contact with the specimen; (c) oscillating either the specimen holder or the test probe so as to cause repeated impacts between the specimen and the test probe; and (d) monitoring the position of the test probe whilst the specimen or the test probe is being oscillated.

摘要： Disclosed is a process for producing a shelf-stable, pourable fruit product from fresh and processed fruits, fruit purees and fruit juices, as well as the product so produced. The product is produced by a process which intentionally breaks the intact cellular structure of the fruit in order to substantially reduce average fruit particle size and facilitate formation of a complex or matrix of small particles surrounded by fluid. The product so produced has a high level of solid materials but is, due to the very small particle size, essentially free of sedimentation-related problems associated with soluble and suspended solids. The product has a moderate viscosity despite the large solids content and lack of viscosity enhancers, as well as an optimal DEG Brix without the addition of non-fruit sugar or acid.
