    • The system and apparatus for processing stackable articles transported in a set number of columns and rows on a conveyor is disclosed. The apparatus includes a receiver positioned to receive the articles discharged from the conveyor to form stacks of articles in the set number of columns. The stacks have a set number of articles per stack. A transfer device is positioned with respect to the receiver to transfer the stacks of articles while being able to continue to transport additional rows of stackable articles on the conveyor to form multiple columns and rows of stacks of articles within the transfer device. A container support is located proximate the transport device to enable the transport device to discharge the multiple rows and stacks of articles into a container positioned on the container support. The receiver includes a staging area positioned to allow the stacks of articles received from a first position to be inserted into the transfer device from the staging area. The staging area is in alignment with the transfer device when the stacks of articles are transferred into the transfer device.

    • The invention concerns a dual mode seat system for a toilet. The seat system includes a toilet seat (20), a hinge (30), and a support (50). The hinge is joined with a seat back end and can also join with the toilet there. The supports is joined to a seat front end (22) and is located between the toilet seat and the toilet when the toilet seat is positioned overlying the toilet. The hinge and the support together (a) cooperate to maintain the toilet seat in a low mode which provides a low spacing between the toilet seat and the toilet, and alternatively, (b) cooperate to maintain the toilet seat in a high mode which provides a high spacing between the toilet seat and the toilet, and in both modes with the toilet seat in a substantially horizontal orientation and where the high spacing is greater than the low spacing.

    • Cold storage unit apparatuses designed for high energy efficiency are provided, which may include: a refrigeration system; a box enclosing an interior space, the box formed by a plurality of insulated sides; an entry into the interior space including a plurality of openable barriers facilitating preventing entry of heat or moisture into the interior space; and a power system connected to the refrigeration system, the power system facilitating independent operation of the refrigeration system when not connected to a power grid, and further facilitating a net energy use of zero from a power grid when connected to a power grid. Cold storage units may further include systems for using the refrigerant of the refrigeration system to defrost one or more components of the cold storage unit, and for using the refrigerant to facilitate maintaining a desired internal temperature of the interior space of the cold storage unit.

    • Methods and systems for collecting and processing bone marrow in a closed system are provided. The systems and methods include the use of a bone marrow aspiration needle and guide configured to puncture cortical bone. Tube assembly is in fluid flow communication with the bone marrow aspiration needle. A first syringe is in fluid flow communication with the tube assembly and the bone aspiration. A bone marrow aspirate collection container in fluid flow communication with the first syringe and the tube assembly. A second syringe is connected to the collection container, a bone marrow aspirate filter in fluid flow communication with the tube assembly to filter bone marrow aspirate from the first syringe into the collection container. At least one flow controller is configured to direct the flow of bone marrow aspirate between the aspiration needle, the first syringe and the collection container.
