    • This disclosure is directed to apparatuses, systems, and methods associated with an improved optical architecture. An optical telescope having a longitudinal axis is configured to allow a beam having a first wavelength to laterally transverse a telescope barrel along a first axis. An optical module directs and corrects the beam from the first axis to a second and third axis, and to a beam expander. The beam expander transmits a beam having a second wavelength through the optical telescope along the longitudinal axis. The optical architecture may be incorporated onto an on-gimbal component that is side-mounted to a gimbaled system, as a method of minimizing the operational burdens on the gimbaled system.

    • Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media provide for selective Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) notifications to be made to the crew of an aircraft according to the relevance of the NOTAM to a selected phase of flight of the aircraft. According to embodiments described herein, NOTAMs are received and parsed for subject and status codes. The subject and status codes are used with the selected phase of flight to determine a relevance code each NOTAM according to a set of relevance rules. The relevance rules provide a level of relevance of the NOTAM to the phase of flight and trigger a type of notification according to that level of relevance.

    • Technologies for relaying digital content and collecting data using vehicles, and an access point associated with a vehicle or structure are provided. A stationary AP is associated with a stationary vehicle structure. A content distribution portal receives a content package including metadata and content segments from a content provider via the Internet. The content distribution portal sends the content package to the stationary AP via the Internet. A mobile AP is mounted on or in a vehicle and is associated with a display device mounted on the vehicle. The stationary AP wirelessly sends the content package to the mobile AP using a P2P protocol when a wireless connection is established between the stationary and mobile APs. After receiving the entire content package, the mobile AP presents the content segments on the display device mounted on the vehicle in a manner specified by the metadata.

    • Methods and computer-readable media provide for efficient inventory and information management over a wireless network. A form customized for a specific business is received at a wireless data input device. The form is completed and a command to send the completed form to a remote server is received. Stored location data for the business corresponding to the form to be sent is compared to location data corresponding to the wireless data input device. If the comparison indicates that the wireless input device is within a specified threshold distance of the business, the wireless data input device is permitted to send the completed form to the server. If the wireless input device is outside the specified threshold distance, the wireless data input device is not permitted to send the completed form.

    • Concepts and technologies described herein provide for a low noise aircraft wing slat system. According to one aspect of the disclosure, a wing slat is used in conjunction with upper and lower bridging elements to minimize airframe noise associated with a high lift system during takeoff and landing flight operations. An upper bridging element deploys from a slat or an aircraft wing during deployment of the slat for takeoff operations and creates a continuous aerodynamic surface between the slat and an upper surface of the wing leading edge to improve the airflow and reduce drag. A lower bridging element deploys from the wing during cruise flight to bridge a gap between a lower surface of a stowed leading edge slat and a lower surface of the wing. During landing operations, both upper and lower bridging elements remain stowed to optimize ambient airflow for noise abatement and lift creation.
