    • Various shuttle conveyor designs are disclosed. The conveyors (110) are suitable for conveying objects (C) along a transport direction (T). The shuttle conveyors (110) may include a track (113) extending along a conveying path, the track (113) defining a length, and a plurality of shuttle elements (102) independently movable along the track (113). Each shuttle element (102) may define mating structure for following the track (113) along the conveying path. Each shuttle element (102) may include at least one movable gripping member (132) for selectively gripping conveyed objects (C). The shuttle elements (102) may define a collective length less than the length of the track (113). The shuttle elements (102) may include a plurality of links (112). The shuttle elements (102) may be driven faster on at least a portion of a return portion of the track (113) than on the conveying portion of the track (113), and the shuttle element flow along the track (113) may be modulated in various ways.

    • Adaptors (16) are disclosed for a seat assembly. The adaptors may be used for mounting a support extending substantially across a frame (12) between first and second side members. The adaptor (16) may be attachable to an opening in the frame. The support (16, 30) may include a hook (52) having a bending distal end. The adaptor includes a non-metal body including a mounting structure configured for attaching the body to the opening in the frame, a passageway (58) extending through the body for receiving the hook, and a seat within the body for securing the bending distal end of the hook to the adaptor. The mounting structure is configured so that when the support is loaded the adaptor is loaded by the hook substantially in compression. Alternatively, other designs with the loading in compression or tension are possible. Seat assemblies and methods of assembly are also disclosed.
