The aedeagus is then removed. The instrument is brought into contact with a target tissue by force enough to press spring coils to each other, and then, when excision operation is applied, the tissue is removed and the spring is elongated up to a length to be compressed, The depth of the thus formed opening is equal to a difference in length of the spring between the compressed state and the non-compressed state. A suitable medicine can be delivered to the thus formed opening through the inner cavity of the catheter as desired.

A track with a narrow and long groove 32 is formed on an upper surface 34a of the hab member 14, in a spiral shape to a second end 38 communicated with a narrow and long chamber 44 serving as an air compression chamber from a first end 36 communicated with a first lateral opening. When blood enters this track 32 from the lumen, air ahead of the blood is compressed until the pressure balances with the pressure of blood in the chamber 44. Accordingly, the blood reciprocates in the track 32 in correspondence with the pressure at the shrinking time and the pressure at the expanding time. This can be viewed through a transparent cover 46.

摘要： The invention provides surgical needles with a porous distal portion from which a liquid injectate will weep or ooze multidirectionally under injection pressure while the porous distal portion of the needle is inserted into a body surface. The porous distal portion of the needle can be fabricated from a porous carbon, metal, ceramic or polymer and preferably has a decreasing gradient of impedance to fluid flowing to the point of the needle to compensate for the falling off of injection pressure as fluid moves towards the point, thereby ensuring uniform weeping of the injectate along the injection course. The needle is adapted for attachment to a catheter or syringe. In another embodiment, a surgical assemblage is provided wherein a porous distal portion having similar fluid flow characteristics is located along the distal end of a catheter, and a needle point is attached to the distal end of the catheter (e.g., a steerable catheter) for piercing tissue. A guidance catheter can be used to direct the invention devices to a remote internal injection site. The invention devices and methods can be used to inject fluids (including those containing nucleic acids for gene therapy) into interior body walls or tissue, such as a beating heart, without substantial loss of fluid and without substantial damage to tissue caused by injectate.
