SOLUTION: The tap for cutting threads in blind holes has a connection part 4 at a first end part 6, a threading part 8 at a second end part 10, and an elongated body 2 with a central axis A-A. The threading part is provided with at least one helical thread 16 about circumference of the body, and an interconnected flank part 14 defining an outline of at least one helical flute 12 from the region of the second end part 10 toward the first end part 6 and interrupting the helical thread 16.
