    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidification system providing an option useful in the general public, or at least the general public or the industrial world.
      SOLUTION: The humidification system includes: a fan 3 driven by a variable speed electric motor for providing a gas flow; humidification means 4, 5 humidifying the gas; a flow rate measuring means 7 for determining a gas flow rate; a humidity sensing means 15 for measuring gas humidity; a first temperature sensing means 12 for measuring temperature of air outside the humidifying system; and a transportation pathway means 6 with an heating means 21 for transporting the humidified gas to the patient; and a control means. The control means includes stored instructions to: (i) determine input power of a transportation pathway heating means based on at least air temperature measured by the first temperature sensing means and the gas flow rate measured by the flow measuring means; and (ii) determine input power of a humidification means based on at least the flow rate of the gas measured by the flow rate measuring means and the humidity of the gas measured by the humidity sensing means to achieve the desired humidity, flow rate, and temperature of the gas to be supplied to the patient.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for delivering humidified gases, which offers useful options available at least to the public.
      SOLUTION: This humidifying chamber 2 is designed to be used with a device for humidifying gases which includes: a container having a water chamber with an opening at the bottom; a thermally conductive base surrounding the bottom opening; a roughly horizontally set air inlet port 5 leading to the container and a roughly horizontally set air outlet port 6 from the container, which are aligned side by side and in parallel. The humidifying chamber can be connected with the supply device for humidifying gases in a single motion that, at the same time, enables fluid connection or disconnection between the air inlet port and the air outlet port and also energizes the thermally conductive base to come closer to or in contact with a heater in the supply device for humidifying gases.
