    • A ratchet wrench including a fixed jaw and a movable jaw attached to a body of the ratchet wrench and having V-shaped nut gripping portions opposing each other. The fixed jaw is pivoted to a forward end portion of the body and biased to rotate toward the movable jaw by a spring. An adjusting nut is provided rotatably about a longitudinal center axis of the body, and an adjusting screw rod is threaded into the adjusting nut so that it is movable back and forth along the longitudinal center axis of the body by rotating the adjusting nut in one direction or the other. The movable jaw is pivoted at a rear end portion thereof to the adjusting screw rod by a guide pin which is guided along a longitudinal slot provided in the body and, the movable jaw is biased to rotate toward the fixed jaw by a spring provided between the movable jaw and the adjusting screw rod. A pivot point between the movable jaw and the adjusting screw rod is positioned on a straight line passing through apexes of the V-shaped nut gripping portions of the movable jaw and the fixed jaw upon gripping a nut therebetween.

    • A device for mounting a lamp on a lamp mount includes an engagement spring made of a spring steel sheet in the form of a leaf spring having a substantially elliptical shape. The engagement spring is configured such that it extends at a right angle relative to the axis of a lamp socket, and moreover, it exhibits a line symmetry relative to two lines extending on a common plane at a right angle relative to each other. The common plane extends at a right angle relative to the axis of the lamp socket. The engagement spring includes an opposing pair of depressing portions and an opposing pair of arm-shaped engagement portions. The depressing portions extend in parallel with one of the two lines while maintaining a line symmetry relative to one of the two lines. The engagement portions are arranged in a spaced relationship while maintaining a line symmetry relative to other one of the two lines. When the engagement spring is placed in position on the upper surface of a lamp socket inserted through a socket insert hole, a uniform resilient depressing force is imparted to the lamp socket from the engagement spring so as to firmly hold the lamp socket on the lamp mount.

    • A soft magnetic stainless steel consists essentially of, by weight, up to 0.03% of C, 0.40 to 1.10% of Si, up to 0.50% of Mn, 9.0 to 19.0% of Cr, 0.31 to 0.60% of Al, 0.01 to 0.03% of S, 0.10 to 0.30% of Pb, 0.02 to 0.25% of Ti, 0.02 to 0.10% of Zr, and up to 0.03% of N, and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities, with a proviso that the C+N content is not more than 0.04% and the Si+Al content is not more than 1.35%. The steel has a magnetic flux density of 13,000 G or more and a coercive force of 1.2 Oe or less as magnetic properties, and a tensile strength of 41 kgf/mm.sup.2 or less and a critical compressibility of 50% or more as formability in cold forging. The steel is suitable for manufacturing, by cold forging, parts with complex shapes such as cores of solenoid operated valves and electromagnetic clutches, and bodies of electronic fuel injection apparatuses for internal combustion engines.
