    • An apparatus for assisting a weft picked into a shed by main nozzle of a jet loom in being inserted through the shed properly is provided. The apparatus comprises improved auxiliary nozzles, each of which has formed therein a first outlet opening for discharging weft pick assisting jets of fluid therethrough and a second outlet opening for discharging weft pick stabilizing jets of fluid therethrough, said first and second outlet openings being arranged in spaced relation to each other along the axis of said auxiliary nozzle and also in such a way that the axes of said first and second outlet openings will form an angle thus directing in different direction from each other so that harmful turbulence of fluid due to interference thereof may be prevented successfully from taking place.

    • A device for shedding warp yarns in a weaving loom, such as a jet loom, comprises: cranks supported on machine frames of the loom rotatable in synchronization with the weaving operation of the loom; synchronizing levers swingably pivoted; connecting rods connecting the cranks with synchronizing levers so that the rotational movement of the cranks is transmitted as a swinging motion of the synchronizing levers; synchronizing links linked with the synchronizing levers; rocking levers linked with the synchronizing links so that the rotational movement of the cranks is transmitted as a swinging motion of the rocking levers through the swinging motion of the synchronizing levers; and heddle frames, for the upper and lower warp yarns, operated by the rocking levers. The synchronizing levers and synchronizing links are so arranged that, when the connecting rods are located at their dead points which correspond to the uppermost or lowermost position of the heddle frame, one of linking pivots linking synchronizing levers with the synchronizing links is near a line formed by the synchronizing levers and links when they are at their dead points. As a result, the time period wherein the warp yarns serve as upper warp yarns is made different from the time period wherein the warp yarns serve as lower warp yarns, and a difference in tension is created in the upper and lower warp yarns when the beating operation is effected.

    • A gas engine includes a generator coupled to an output shaft thereof, an intake passage to which a low-concentration methane gas (VAM gas) derived from mine venting is supplied, and a gas mixing unit mixing a high-concentration methane gas (CMM gas) to the low-concentration methane gas midway along the intake passage, so that a gas mixture of the low-concentration methane gas and the high-concentration methane gas is supplied to and burnt in a combustion chamber. A turbocharger is provided in the intake passage upstream of the gas mixing unit, and in the intake passage upstream of the turbocharger, is provided a mixture ratio adjusting unit adjusting a mixture ratio of the low-concentration methane gas and the air. The temperature or flow rate of intake gas flowing into the turbocharger is kept in a constant range by an intake controller.
