摘要： Presented are a system and method for controlling data rates of a reverse packet data channel (R-PDCH) in a mobile communication system. A mobile station (MS) indicates a maximum possible data rate (RIS) to a base station (BS), whereupon a scheduler in the base station determines which data rate it will assign to the mobile station. The base station sends an indication of the assigned data rate (203) to the mobile station, causing the mobile station to adapt its data rate (217). Intermediate data rates can be jumped, thus improving the throughput of the mobile communication system.

摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving a Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) Acknowledge/Negative acknowledge (ACK/NACK) signal in a mobile communication system. The present invention distributes a CDM segment, to which an ACK/NACK signal is mapped, in the frequency domain of an OFDM symbol, and repeatedly transmits the CDM segment, thereby providing diversity gain in the time-frequency domain. Further, the present invention provides a mapping rule for distributing transmit power between OFDM symbols to which the ACK/NACK signal is mapped and transmitted, thereby preventing the case where a particular OFDM symbol is power-overloaded, and thus contributing to improvement of the entire system performance.

摘要： A mobile station supporting selective transmit diversity (STD) efficiently transmits forward channel status information to a base station in a 1xEV-DV mobile communication system. The mobile station receives signals transmitted from the base station through a plurality of transmission antennas, measures signal strengths of the received signals, compares the measured signal strengths after compensating for a transmission power difference between the transmission antennas, and selects a transmission antenna having the highest signal strength. The forward channel status information includes absolute status information representing measured signal strength for a transmission antenna selected at a current time interval, or relative status information representing a result obtained by comparing the measured signal strength for the transmission antenna selected at the current time interval with measured signal strength for a transmission antenna selected at a previous time interval.

摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving data in a mobile communication system using multiple antennas are provided. A receiver estimates a fading channel of received data, selects a weight set relative to a maximum data transmission rate from at least one weight set with elements of a plurality of orthogonal weight vectors, and transmits feedback information including the selected weight set and channel-by-channel state information to a transmitter. The transmitter demultiplexes data to be transmitted on a basis of the feedback information into at least one sub-data stream, multiplies each sub-data stream by an associated weight, and transmits the data.
