摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle while dealing with digitizing of a printing step by providing a coating layer containing a compound decomposable by emitting a light having a wavelength of a higher energy than a band gap energy of a titanium oxide photocatalyst and a reducing action on a coat layer. SOLUTION: In the plate material for printing, a coat layer 3 containing a titanium oxide photocatalyst and a coating layer 4 formed on the layer 3 are formed on a surface of a base material 1 and a light having a wavelength of a higher energy than a band gap energy of the photocatalyst is emitted to its surface so that its hydrophobic property can be converted into its hydrophilic property. Accordingly, a hydrophobic part is used as a printing element part and a hydrophilic part is used as a non-printing element part, and hence a function as the plate material for printing can be performed. Thus, its recycling can be achieved by utilizing conversion properties from the hydrophobic property to the hydrophilic property, and an amount of the plate materials to be discarded after using can be reduced.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pigment composition hardly causing deficit print density and the turbulence of dot shape and capable of excellently dispersing a pigment in a toner by adding a solvent in which a resin is dissolved into a pigment slurry formed by dispersing the pigment in water and stirring. SOLUTION: This pigment composition for liquid toner containing the pigment and the resin is produced by adding the solvent in which the resin is dissolved into the pigment slurry formed by dispersing the pigment in water and stirring them to shift the pigment to the solvent side, and then removing water or water and the solvent. The resin is dissolved in the solvent and added into the pigment dispersed in water. When the resin dissolved in the solvent is added into a uniform suspension of the pigment and water and stirred, two phases of a resin phase and a water phase are formed. The pigment exists mainly in the water phase at first, and by continuing further stirring, the pigment in the water phase is shifted to the resin phase. The composition containing the pigment and the resin is obtained by removing water or water and the solvent form the mixed system after the pigment is shifted to the resin phase.

SOLUTION: The producing method of liquid toner is by dispersing a pigment and a resin in a carrier and separating and removing the coarse materials having the max. length equal to or more than 5μm from the liquid toner having =5wt.%. Next, a nonaueous solvent (that is a carrier solution) not dissolving the resin is added into the resultant dispersed solution to get a desired pigment concentration and after that, the pigment resin particles are precipitated by a conventional method to obtain the liquid toner having =5μm, preferably 2μm is separated and removed from the toner.

Then, the first nonaq. solvent in the suspension is distilled under reduced pressure at a first temperature below the precipitation temp. of the thermoplastic resin, and the second nonaq. solvent is further added to the suspension after distillation under reduced pressure. Thereafter, the second nonaq. solvent is distilled at a second temp. above the first temp. and below the softening temp. of the thermoplastic resin, thereby preparing a suspension of resin particles.
