摘要： A voltage-dependent non-linear resistor member, a method for producing the same, and an arrester equipped with the same. The member is produced by a process comprising the addition of at least one oxide of a rare earth element selected from Y, Ho, Er and Yb in an amount of 0.05-1.0 mol % in terms of R.sub.2 O.sub.3 to a composition which principally consists of zinc oxide and contains bismuth oxide. The member has excellent non-linearity and a high varistor valtage. Further, the arrester has very small size and improved protective properties.

摘要： In a heat exchanger comprising a number of multilayered fins, and a refrigerant pipe arranged in the meandering form in the fins, and an air conditioner having the heat exchanger, each of the fins has a corrugated portion formed in an air-flow direction thereon, which has at least two wavelike portions for producing a turbulent flow of air having such strength that a temperature boundary layer of the air is broken, but resistance against to the air flow is not excessively high. Each wavelike portion may be designed to have a triangular section or a trapezoidal section, and a flat portion may be disposed between the wavelike portions.

摘要： A composition and method for effectively dispersing iron in water to prevent iron oxide deposits is disclosed. The composition includes a first component which is an acrylic copolymer having repeating units mixed with a second component which is either a homopolymer or copolymer of an acrylate or a methacrylate. The first component includes an acrylic or methacrylic hydrazide and its repeating units include an acrylic or methacrylic amide or alkyl ester. Iron containing water may be treated by adding 0.01-10 mg composition to each liter of water.

摘要： An image processing welding control method comprises detection of isothermal pattern of a weld zone in the welding state through photographing the weld zone by an infrared camera; calculation of the area of the region defined by the isothermal line detected; comparison of the area with a standard area which is obtained in advance; control of welding heat input such that the area will be substantially the same as the standard area whereby a suitable welding heat is input the welding portion; detection of an asymmetric extent of said isothermal pattern; and controlling the torch position such that the asymmetric extent will be within a predetermined value, so that the torch will be strictly aligned with the welding groove center. This method enables two kinds of welding control methods, torch position control and welding heat input control, based on the same image information.

摘要： A particulate vinyl chloride polymer having excellent processability and heat stability which comprises porous vinyl chloride polymer particles and acrylic polymers which are included in the above porous particles. The particulate polymer is prepared by impregnating an alkyl acrylate in porous particles of a vinyl chloride polymer, polymerizing it, and in the course of the polymerization of the alkyl acrylate, adding an alkyl methacrylate to the polymerization system and continuing the polymerization. Since the thus obtained polymer has an improved melt-flowability and heat stability, it can be blended with a large quantity of an inorganic filler and can be molded with good processability.

摘要： A capping machine for application of sealing caps which cover the bungs of a variety of liquid containers which comprises a cap holder with a vertical cylindrical shape in which a plurality of sealing caps is piled up with the upward open ends to form a cylinder, a horizontal circular band made of a resilient material which is arranged at the bottom of the cap holder, making the internal surface thereof identical to that of the cap holder, a pneumatic system which intermittently inflates the internal surface of the resilient circular band toward the center thereof, a sucking member which takes down and holds a sealing cap located at the extreme bottom of the sealing cap pile in the cap holder during the period in which the resilient band holds a sealing cap second to the bottom, and a means which changes the direction of and carries sealing cap held by the sucking member and applies the same to a bung of a liquid container.
