    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to judge a defective echo only from the echo level resulting from only one longitudinal scanning operation by providing a flaw detecting element for generating ultrasonic beam and by a flaw detecting element for receiving the same and by moving and scanning them at the same speed on the body sides of a mother material by means of a jig. CONSTITUTION:In case the welded portion C between a column A and a beam B is to be inspected the center shaft 6 of a link mechanism 3 is fixed in position on the mother material by means of a magnet. A transmitting flaw detecting element 1 and a receiving flaw detecting element 2 are attached to the stationary shafts 4 and 5 of the link and connected with a flaw recorder 13. An element moving device 17 is fixed to the both sides of the mother material by means of a magnet so that a wheel 20 is made to mesh with a gear 16. If a synchronous motor 14 fixed to the mother material by a magnet 15 is turned the elements 1 and 2 are moved at an equal speed in the opposite directions so that the echoes reflected from the welded portion C following that movement are recorded. A defective echo diagram is attained in accordance with the level so that the defective echo can be judged only from its level by the once longitudinal scanning operation.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture the joining metallic material between a reinforced concrete pole and a steel structure beam by welding plate metakkllic materials to ends of connected metallic material with a cross-shaped plane shape. CONSTITUTION:The connected metallic material 2 has the cross-shaped plane shape with connecting parts 2a to carry out stress transmission between the plate metallic materials 1 and 1. This part is the central part with a longitudinal cross-sectional shape in the vertical direction so as not to check fluidity of concrete and to resist bearing stress and horizontal wings parts 2b to join the plate metallic materials 1 are provided projectingly on the respective tip parts. This connected metallic material 2 is formed by casting or forging steel material or welding of steel plates The plate metallic materials 1 are provided with plural. bolt holes 1a and backing strips 4 are arranged on the rears of grooves of the connected metallic material to constitute by welding. The beam joining metallic material based on this invention is excellent in bearing proof stress and adhesive proof stress.
