    • PURPOSE: To make a scanning optical system for a laser printer and an optical disk head lightweight and small-sized, by making the beam from a semiconductor laser incident to a hologram lens.
      CONSTITUTION: The anisotropic beam from a semiconductor laser 1 is irradiated to a hologram lens 11 obliquely. This beam is diffracted by interference fringes recorded as a hologram and is emitted as an isotropic beam. With respect to the positional relation between the hologram lens and the semiconductor laser, the hologram lens is inclined at an angle θ to the semiconductor laser in a plane including an axis on which the intensity distribution of the semiconductor laser is narrower (normally, in the direction of the junction face). The value of θ is so determined that the emitted beam becomes an isotropic beam.

    • PURPOSE:To read accurately signals out of the dot information on a disk, by using an optical system which can form a minute circular spot on the disk by means of a semiconductor laser having an emission light distribution of an oval beam pattern. CONSTITUTION:An output angle u2 of a semiconductor lasser given from a light source 1 is set at a value which secures the half value width of a lateral far viewfield image of the semiconductor laser. The emission light distribution is approximately circular within the angle u2 in both longitudinal and lateral directions. Then the light distribution which is made incident to a lens 3 is also circular, and furthermore a stopped-down spot 4 is also circular. With such an optical information reproducer, it is possible to reproduce the dot information from a disk by means of a circular spot as well as a semiconductor laser light source having different longitudinal-lateral ratios of light emitting regions which can obtain a comparatively large optical output. Thus the good reproduced signals are obtained from a disk.

    • PURPOSE:To set plural kinds of frequencies so that a laser light consisting of plural kinds of wavelengths is emitted from an acoustooptic modulator at the same angle, by making this laser light incident to the single acoustooptic modulator and allowing the modulator to propagate acoustic waves consisting of plural kinds of frequencies. CONSTITUTION:The laser light emitted from a laser 14 which emits light with plural kinds of wavelengths is inputted to an AO modulator 15. The AO modulator 15 is driven by an AO modulator driving device 16 and emits the laser light consisting of plural kinds of wavelengths at the same angle. Consequently, the laser light consisting of plural kinds of wavelengths is condensed in the same position on a color film 17 by a lens 8. A rotary polyhedral mirror 10 allows the laser light to scan the surface of the film 17, and optical recording is performed on all of the surface of the film when the film is carried.

    • PURPOSE:To form a minute light spot without deviation of the position of optical scanning in a wide scanning region on a face to be scanned, by arranging a cylindrical lens, which corrects optically the deviation of the position of optical scanning, between the optical scanner and the face to be scanned. CONSTITUTION:The laser light from a laser light source 1 is reflected by a polarizing beam splitter 5 and is converted to an elliptic beam through a prism 11 and is condensed onto a mirror 3 of a focus controlling element 2 through a lambda/4 plate 12 by a lens 4. The reflected light passes the polarizing beam splitter 5 through the reverse course and becomes an isotropic beam shape shown by an arrow of a broken line. This beam is converted to an elliptic beam (shown by an arrow of a broken line) through two cylindrical lenses 10 arranged in the no- focus type and passes through a lens 6 and an optical scanner 7 and is condensed to a face 8 to be scanned in the direction of the longer axis of the ellipse by a cylindrical lens 9. Consequently, a minute spot without deviation of optical scanning throughout a wide scanning region is obtained.

In order to prevent the spread of the light spot owing to astigmatism and curvature of field, cylindrical lenses 9-1, 9-2 are inserted into reference light. At this time, a hologram recording material is placed in the X-Y plane inclusive of an origin O. The lenses 9-1, 9-2 are of an afocal system, and generate the deviation deltax in focus on account of the spherical aberration of the lens 9-1 and therefore it is possible to correct the astigmatism during scanning.

Thus it is possible to suppress the thermal fluctuations of quantity of emitted light of the semiconductor laser 302 and reduce the irregularities of a potential with the help of this exposure control device.
