    • A lateral pipe lining material comprises a tubular resin-absorbing material impregnated with a curable resin and a brim attached at one end thereof. The lining material is positioned so that the brim faces a peripheral edge of a lateral pipe opening of the main pipe. A ring-shaped gasket composed of an elastic material is attached to an upper surface of the brim, and a bonding resin is applied thereto. The gasket seals a gap between an inner peripheral surface of the main pipe and the brim. The lateral pipe lining material is evertedly inserted into the lateral pipe in a state in which the bonding resin applied to the brim is brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the main pipe. In such a configuration, ground water can be prevented from seeping into the bonding resin applied to the brim even if the ground water flows into the main pipe from a break of the lateral pipe.

    • A rehabilitating pipe having a flange at one end thereof is laid inside a first existing pipe so that the flange contacts an inner circumferential surface portion of a second existing pipe surrounding a portion where the first and second existing pipes intersect. A flange part of a flanged tubular member is adhesively fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the second existing pipe so that the flange part covers the flange of the rehabilitating pipe and the inner circumferential surface portion of the second existing pipe. A tubular part of the flanged tubular member is adhered to the rehabilitating pipe to thereby seal a gap between an inner circumference of the first existing pipe and an outer circumference of the rehabilitating pipe.

    • A segment is coupled to additional segments to constitute a rehabilitating pipe for repairing an existing pipe. The segment comprises an inner plate that defines the inner circumferential surface of the rehabilitating pipe and has an opening therein for performing the work of mutually coupling the segments in the circumferential direction of the rehabilitating pipe, and a cover that is fitted into the opening from the bottom surface side of the inner plate. To fix the cover to the inner plate, the cover is provided with a projection and with an engaging member that is movable between non-engaging and engaging positions. The cover is fitted into the opening with the projection into engagement with the inner plate on one side edge of the opening and the engaging member is then brought into engagement with the inner plate on the other side edge thereof, thereby fixing the cover to the inner plate to plug the opening thereof.
