摘要： A two-phase weaving air jet loom for parallely weaving two fabrics. The loom is so constructed as to form first and second warp yarn arrays which are separate from each other to define therebetween an intermediate space. First and second weft inserting or air ejection nozzles are disposed near and outside the outside edges of the first and second warp yarn arrays, respectively. The first and second weft inserting nozzles are arranged to project first and second weft yarns into the sheds of the first and second warp yarn arrays, respectively. Additionally, a yarn end portion treating device is provided to treat the end portion (projected over the inside edge of the warp yarn array) of the weft yarn so as to form a selvage and separate the same from a woven cloth.

摘要： In an apparatus for recording and/or reproducing, in successive slant tracks on a record tape, an information signal comprised of at least an audio signal and an index signal for use in controlling transportation of the tape; the input audio signal is converted to a digitized form in which the audio data for a predetermined length of time is grouped as a plurality of data blocks which are recorded by a rotary head in a first part of a respective slant track on the tape, an index signal generator provides a coded index signal to indicate respective input information, such as, an absolute tape-position address counted from a predetermined reference position on the record tape, an index area signal is generated in predetermined timed relation to scanning by the rotary head of said first part of each slant track, and a control is responsive to the index area signal for supplying the coded index signal to a rotary head for recording by the latter in a second part of said respective slant track which is located adjacent an end of said first part of the respective slant track.

摘要： In an apparatus for recording and/or reproducing an information signal, such as, a PCM (pulse-code modulated) signal and the like, in slant tracks on a recording tape by means of rotary heads, and in which, when an index signal is recorded in, or erased from an area adjacent a part of a slant track in which the PCM signal is recorded, an index area signal which specifies the area for recording or reproducing the index signal is formed on the basis of address data in the reproduced PCM signal. Therefore, the index signal area always has a predetermined positional relation to a recording area of the PCM signal so that when the index signal is recorded in or erased from the index signal area, erasure of the adjacent PCM signal is prevented.

摘要： In a helical scan apparatus having a rotary head or heads for recording and/or reproducing video and audio signals in oblique tracks on a magnetic tape with the recorded audio signals being recorded in overscan areas of the oblique tracks and with the pitch of the tracks being different as a result of changes in the tape speed for different recording modes; index signals are recorded by the rotary head or heads at predetermined positions in the overscan areas of a plurality of the oblique tracks for a period of time dependent upon the recording mode previously used for recording the video and audio signals. Therefore, in a program search operation employing high speed playback, the index signals can be extracted from the output of the rotary head or heads for identifying a respective program or event irrespective of the recording mode with which the video and audio signals were recorded.
