    • An XY stage includes an X stage and a Y stage. The X stage is supported at three points, i.e., two bearings of a first guide shaft, and a first support shaft. The Y stage is also supported at three points, i.e., two bearings of a third guide shaft, and a second support shaft. A CCD holder, which is a stage to be moved, is also supported at three points, i.e., two bearings of a second guide shaft and one bearing of the first guide shaft. The one bearing supporting the CCD holder is opened in the Y direction to be U-shaped so that the first guide shaft is inserted therein, and the first guide shaft is supported on one side of this U-shaped bearing by receiving a biasing force applied by a spring, so that the attitude of the CCD holder in a predetermined direction is defined.

    • A spin-coating method according to the present invention includes a uniforming step of rotating a substrate at a predetermined main rotation speed for a predetermined main rotation time so as to primarily make a resist film thickness uniform, and a subsequent drying step of rotating the substrate at a predetermined drying rotation speed for a predetermined drying rotation time so as to primarily dry the uniform resist film. In the present invention, a contour map, for example, of film thickness uniformity within an effective region (critical area) shown in FIG. 3A is determined (generated), and resist-coating is performed by selecting a condition within the optimum region in this contour map in which the film thickness uniformity (within an effective region) can be the maximum, or within the region in which the film thickness uniformity (within an effective region) can be high enough for a desirably specified.

    • A lens barrier is held in an open position by a first coil spring while the camera remains electrically powered. When a power switch is turned off, a taking lens retracts within a camera body, and a barrier drive gear is rotated by a motor to extend a second coil spring so as to force the lens barrier to move to a closed position from the open position at the moment that tensile force of the second coil spring rises beyond that of the first extension spring. When the lens barrier is completely moved to and stops in the closed position, the camera is disconnected from power.
