The pigment dispersion can be advantageously used in inkjet inks.Also disclosed is a method for preparing the pigment dispersion comprising the step of preparing the polymeric dispersant by copolymerizing a monomer already containing the pending chromophore group.

A method for preparing the pigment dispersion wherein the polymeric dispersant is prepared by copolymerizing a monomer already containing the pending chromophore group is also disclosed.
