    • A compact dual redundant cooling fan assembly has an outboard cooling fan, a turbulent to laminar flow modification element, and an inboard cooling fan mounted in a series configuration. A connecting sleeve directs the combined output into a cabinet containing components to be cooled. A sliding drawer within the connecting sleeve detachably holds said outboard cooling fan, said flow modification element, and said inboard cooling fan, allowing for the hot swappable replacement of defective components. A controller is in communication with a power source, said outboard fan, said inboard fan, and at least one sensor monitoring the status of each of said outboard cooling fan and said inboard cooling fan. Said controller is configured to maintain said combined output above a minimum control level at all times, regardless of the failure of said outboard fan or said inboard fan.

    • A cooler and dispenser for use with upright water bottles operates to (1) pump chilled water from a vertical bottle through a top opening, (2) filter the air that is drawn in to replace the water, (3) and provide the user with an indication of the water level in the bottle. The dispenser cap is designed to fit snugly over the top of standard 3.0 and 5.0 gallon refillable water bottles in the vertical orientation. A small pump in the dispenser cap draws water from the bottom of the bottle and dispenses it through a tube that extends past the side of the bottle. The vacuum created within the bottle during the pumping process draws air in through a filter that keeps foreign particles from entering the bottle. Further, the airflow through the filter is constricted so as to ensure that a partial vacuum exists even after the pump has been turned off, and this draws residual water back through the delivery tube thereby preventing drips. The dispenser cap also contains a fluid level indicator that is connected to sensors mounted on the water draw tube.

    • One embodiment relates to a computer system comprising at least one host, at least one object addressable storage (OAS) system and at least one communication medium that couples the at least one host to the at least one OAS system. The at least one OAS system has a plurality of storage devices and stores a plurality of content units on the plurality of storage devices. Each of the at least one host and the at least one OAS system has software that provides a OAS interface so that each one of the content units stored on the OAS system may be identified between the at least one host and the at least one OAS using an object identifier. The computer system maps the object identifier for a first of the plurality of content units to at least one of the plurality of storage devices over at least one first path. In response to a failure that prevents the at least one host from accessing the first content unit via the at least one first path, the computer system is automatically reconfigured to establish at least one previously non-established second path that enables the at least one host to access the first content unit using the object identifier for the first content unit.
