摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency mixer circuit of which power consumption is suppressed and a differential amplifier circuit usable for the high frequency mixer circuit while reducing distortion of output due to a harmonic signal. SOLUTION: A mixer circuit is composed of a differential amplifier circuit 2 and a double balanced mixer (DBM) circuit 1. The differential amplifier circuit 2 is provided with a first bipolar transistor 15, a second bipolar transistor 16, a first resistor 24 provided between base of the first bipolar transistor 15 and the second bipolar transistor 16, and a capacitor 41 provided between the base of the second bipolar transistor 16 and the ground. The first resistor 24 and the capacitor 41 are provided so that the circuit is made to RC resonate with respect to a third order harmonic of input signal. 摘要： This disclosure is directed to a frequency-selective low noise amplifier (LNA) with wide-band impedance and noise matching. The LNAS may include a closed loop circuit that supports wideband input matching. For example, the closed loop circuit may be configure to impedance match an input signal and provide a low noise figure. In addition, the LNA may include an open loop circuit that amplifies the input signal and provides a high output impedance. The open loop circuit may further include a selectivity filter that filters out frequencies outside a desired frequency band. The LNA may drive a tunable band-pass filter via the open loop circuit.

SOLUTION: The present invention is related to low power low noise amplifiers (LNA) including on/off switching capability, which are preferably used for impulse radio (IR) ultra-wideband (UWB) receivers. In the invention, a very low power and high-gain Common-Gate Capacitive Cross Coupling Cascaded LNA is proposed, to provide an optimum gain for large ON times. The invention provides also a Common-Source Cascoded LNA for shorter received pulse widths, with the aim of implementing a fast ON/OFF switching. An input signal is applied to a first amplifying stage and the switching means are coupled to a second amplifying stage so that they do not interfere with the matching network of the first stage.
