摘要： A improved snap-in bracket for supporting an electronic component in an opening in a support panel has, a cylindrical body disposed for friction-fit or ultrasonically welded engagement with the electronic component, holding members hingedly connected on diametrically opposing sides of the cylindrical body, locking tabs operatively associated with the holding members, and resilient fingers medially connected at opposite sides of a cylindrical body and at a predetermined spaced distance from the holding members. When the snap-in bracket is in assembled position, the holding members are disposed to engage the upper face of the support panel about the opening therein to exert a downward force upon the upper face, and the resilient fingers are disposed to engage the lower face of the panel about the opening therein and exert an upward force thereon opposite to the two forces exerted by the holding members for operative coaction therewith to detachably fix and maintain the snap-in bracket in assembled position. Further, the locking tabs are positioned within the opening in the support panel and exert a force upon the wall of the opening with a magnitude directly proportional to the magnitude of external forces that may be exerted against the snap-in bracket to effectively prevent deformation of the holding members when the snap-in bracket is in assembled position. Additionally, the improved snap-in bracket as above described, wherein the improved snap-in bracket and the electronic component are manufactured as an integral unit to be detachably fixed and maintained in the opening in the support panel.

The connector assembly is mounted to an edge card which is profiled for receipt within the edge card connector. The outlet box is formed of a dielectric material which is plated over with a metallic plating. The outlet box includes two latch members along the sides which are bow shaped and have grounding surfaces thereon, which latch the outlet box in place to a panel, and simultaneously ground the box to the panel.

As the terminal block approaches the installed position, the guides facilitate final movement thereto while the relationship between the ramp and the lead-in surface insures that the edge of the aperture will engage the latch arm only on the ramp thereby to prevent misengagement between the latch arm and the panel.

Included on the exterior of the bushing are resilient prongs having cam surfaces which cause the prongs to be pushed inwardly as the bushing is inserted through an aperture in a mounting plate for the switch device with barbs on the prongs preventing retraction of the switch housing from the mounting plate after insertion. The resiliency of the plastic material from which the bushing is molded causes the prongs to maintain a position in which the housing is securely mounted to the mounting plate.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a unique device for mounting electrical apparatus to a wall panel, wherein the device includes a main body portion having a cavity for holding components of the electrical apparatus and a pillar-shaped portion attached to the main body portion and extending through an opening in the wall panel. A free end of the pillar-shaped portion includes a plurality of outwardly protruding steps which overlap the wall panel, with a first set of the steps having a first axial length and a second set of the steps having a second, shorter axial length. A biasing member extends between the main body portion and the wall panel and biases the wall panel into contact with only the first set of steps, creating a gap between the wall panel and the second set of steps. A cover member surrounds the free end of the pillar-shaped portion and extends into the gap, with the second set of steps biasing the cover into contact with the wall panel.

The clips are mounted in place on the panel in pairs and securely engage end portions of a clip by a simple "snap" action without the need for tools or securing means such as screws or the like. The connector is readily disengaged from one of the clips by a simple clip-bending step effected by a tool such as a screwdriver, pen knife or the like, so as to free one connector end, whereafter the opposed connector end may be readily slid from engagement with the remaining clip without damaging the connector or the clips whereby they may be reused indefinitely.

摘要： A system for interchangeable attachment of electrical equipment carried on an insulating frame to a mounting plate. Electrical equipment carried on an insulating frame can be quickly and easily attached to a mounted plate by a simple snapping action of detents located on the mounting plate into associated cut outs located on an insulating frame. Once attached to the mounting plate, the equipment and the associated insulating frame can only be removed by depressing a resilient plate in which these detents are located with a screwdriver or similar tool.
