    • The disclosure concerns a closure cap (10) which can screw onto the fixed neck (11) of a cooling system expansion tank. The closure cap is provided with a screw cap (14) and a threaded section (21) in which a combination pressure-vacuum valve (15) is mounted concentrically and in such a way that it can rotate in relation to the screw cap (14). The valve (15) is provided with a sealing element (27) which comes into tight contact with the fixed neck (11) when the closure cap (10) is screwed. To ensure that a closure cap of this type can be unscrewed only when the excess heat in the cooling system has been completely dissipated, it is proposed that the closure cap (10) when screwed onto the fixed neck (11) should be prevented from unscrewing by means of a temperature-dependent control element (37).

    • A coolant control valve apparatus including a fail-safe valve which is opened when a coolant temperature of the engine due to a valve malfunction increases, without delaying the increase, is provided. The engine cooling system includes a main channel 4 which circulates coolant between an engine 1 and a radiator 3 and a bypass channel 5 which bypasses the radiator 3. The coolant control valve apparatus 10 includes a main valve 11 which adjusts a flow rate of the coolant in the main channel 4 to control the flow rate of the coolant in the main channel 4. Further, the coolant control valve apparatus 10 includes a detour channel 67 provided being diverged from the main channel 4 so as to detour the main valve 11. The coolant control valve apparatus 10 includes a valve main body 41 which opens and closes the detour channel 67 and a temperature detection medium 42 which can open and close the valve main body 41 according to a temperature of the coolant. The temperature detection medium 42 is disposed in the diverging part between the detour channel 67 and the bypass channel 5.

    • The invention relates to a closing cap (10) for the fixed tubing of a motor vehicle radiator, comprising an inner part (14) with a flow connection means between the inside and the outside of the container, as well as a distributing mechanism for freeing and closing the flow connection means. A valve body (22) of the distributing mechanism (11), which can be reciprocated, is compressed under pre-stress towards the inside of the container against a sealing seat (21) at the inner part (14) of the cap, so that said valve body can be lifted from said sealing seat (21) when a threshold value of the pressure inside the container is exceeded. In order to produce a closing cap (10) which does not open in case of overpressure resulting from heat accumulation and which ensures that the container is protected in case of a continuing increase of pressure, in a simple and cost-effective way, the invention provides for in-use controlled adjustment of the pre-stress used for compressing the valve body (22) against the sealing seat (21).
