    • The invention relates to a handle (10) which is mounted on a stop body (20) in an axially fixed rotational manner. Said handle has a polygon (30) which is torsionally rigid in a handle neck (12) which is provided for actuating a closing mechanism. Two driving elements (15, 35) which can move in relation to one another can be coupled directly or by means of coupling elements (36, 40, 42) with positive or non-positive fit between adjacent surfaces (17, 37). Said driving elements are coupled in such a way that a transmission of torque from the handle (10) to the polygon (30) can be effected, whereas said transmission can be blocked from the polygon to the handle (10) by displacing at least one coupling element (36) in the direction of the application of force. A main part of a polygonal driving element (35) can be concentrically enclosed by the handle driving element (15) having fins (52) which comprise push surfaces (19) and which are situated on two shells. Said fins drive, e.g. spring-loaded roll pins (36) which are arranged in pairs and which are retained in a wedge-shaped delimited zone (55). Angular areas of indentations (31) of the polygonal driving element (35) act upon the roll pins (36). Middle parts (50) of the handle driving element (15) can guide a pressure spring (38) which outwardly applies force to locking balls (47) to which recesses (27) of the stop body (20) that are arranged at the edge delimitation (24; 44) are allocated.

    • An outer operating device for a door lock includes a mounting plate mounted to an outer side of a door. A driving wheel is pivotably mounted in a mounting seat fixed to the mounting plate. A driving member is pivotably mounted in the mounting seat and meshes with the driving wheel. A distal end of the driving member is operably connected to a latch of a latch device. A handle is pivotably mounted to the mounting seat and includes a lever. A movable block is slideably received in the driving wheel and includes a notch. When a pressing end of the lever is not aligned with the notch of the movable block, the latch can be retracted to an unlatching position by pivoting the handle. When the notch is aligned with the notch of the movable block, the latch cannot be retracted by pivoting the handle.

    • Disclosed are apparatus and corresponding methodology for the attachment of a self-contained module to any mechanical lock having a mating feature to accept it (in either of an OEM application or as a retrofit). The module enables a separate (preexisting) cam locking feature (components) to be associated with an existing mechanical lock by being fitted onto the back of the existing lock and then having the cam locking components attached to the module. In turn, the preexisting cam locking components may be fitted to the module aligned in any one of four positions (up, down, left, and right) on the back of the module for latching in any position in which the associated lock/cam strike may be installed. The cam locking components then function to allow a user to open an associated door or drawer, and when finished, slam it shut without having to rotate the lock back to a locked position. The self-contained module allows the cam locking components to be fitted to a standard, mechanical lock and still have the self-lock feature that is otherwise not available within the existing lock.
