    • The present invention discloses a dynamic voltage scaling system based on on-chip monitoring and voltage prediction, comprising a main circuit that has integrated on-chip monitoring circuits, a supply voltage scaling module, and voltage converters, wherein, the supply voltage scaling module comprises a sampling and statistics module designed to calculate the error rate of the main circuit in the current time slice, a state recording module designed to record the error rate and the corresponding supply voltage, an error prediction module, and a state transition probability generation module; the error prediction module predicts the error trend of the main circuit in a future time slice according to the state recording module and the state transition probability generation module, and generates regulation signals and sends to the corresponding voltage converters, so as to generate the voltage required for operation of the entire main circuit. The present invention utilizes the Markov theory to predict the “future” timing violation level of the circuit according to the “past” working condition and “current” working condition of the main circuit, and reserves some time for voltage scaling in the voltage converters; as a result, the dynamic voltage scaling has high directivity and purposiveness.

    • The invention concerns a traffic surveillance system that is used to detect and track vehicles in video taken of a road from a low mounted camera. The inventors have discovered that even in heavily occluded scenes, due to traffic density or the angle of low mounted cameras capturing the images, at least one horizontal edge of the windshield is least likely to be occluded for each individual vehicle in the image. Thus, it is an advantage of the invention that the direct detection of a windshield on its own can be used to detect a vehicle in a single image. Multiple models are projected (206) onto an image with reference to different points in the image. The probability of each point forming part of a windshield is determined based on a correlation of the horizontal edges in the image with the horizontal edges of the windshield model referenced at that point (220). This probability of neighboring points is used to possible detect a vehicle in the image (224). Aspects of the invention include a method, software and traffic surveillance system.

    • A multiple-input multiple-output multi-band OFDM transmission system (400) employs a data interleaving arrangement that is backwards compatible with specifications for a legacy interleaver. In one embodiment, an input data stream is parsed into two or more separate data streams by a round robin parser (310) and each of the separate data streams is shifted by a corresponding number of symbols and then interleaved by a legacy interleaver (340i). In another embodiment, data for a plurality (N*i) of symbols is split into N sequential groups of data, each group corresponding to one of N MIMO spatial streams, each stream including data for i symbols. Each group is then interleaved by a legacy interleaver (520i). In a third embodiment, an input data stream is interleaved by a scaled version of the legacy interleaver (610), and then parsed by a round-robin parser (620).

    • A method, a device, and a mobile terminal for controlling locking and unlocking are provided. The method includes the following steps. An acceleration sensor is adopted to detect a location state of a mobile terminal. A stabilization timer is started and a stabilization timing value of the stabilization timer is monitored when the mobile terminal is in an unlocked or a locked state. The stabilization timing value is reset to restart timing when it is monitored that the location state of the mobile terminal is unstable. The mobile terminal is controlled to enter a stable and unlocked state when it is monitored that the stabilization timing value reaches a stabilization timing threshold. Through the technical solutions, it is determined whether the mobile terminal enters the stable and unlocked state according to the location state of the mobile terminal in the locked or unlocked state. In this manner, the mobile terminal may not be locked in the stable state, and the afterward operations may be facilitated, thereby increasing usability of the mobile terminal and improving user's experience.

    • A patient alignment device includes a table and a rotatable member positioned to rotate relative to the table. The rotatable member may be a head-support plate or a board which supports substantially all of a patient's body. A motor moves the board or plate so as to align the patient's body, or a part of the body, in a desired direction. The board may be formed in two segments, the segments being selectively connectable to each other, the segments also being selectively connectable to the table by pins, at various possible pivot points. Positioning of the pins determines the mode of rotation of the board. The invention allows an operator to align the patient's body with precision, by remote control, and without interrupting the medical procedure.
