    • According to an embodiment, virtual logical units are each provided with correlative data between a virtual logical unit number and a real logical unit number. In response to an access request specifying a virtual logical unit number from a host, a correlated real logical unit number is obtained by referring to the correlative data, thereby accessing a real logical unit having the obtained real logical unit number. By changing a real logical unit number correlated to a virtual logical unit number, it is possible to access a plurality of real logical units in a time sharing manner through one virtual logical unit number. Accordingly, it is possible to set the number of accessible logical units to be greater than the number of using logical unit numbers.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide a head mounting mechanism with less stress and with a good wearing feeling by which constant hold is assured regardless of the individual difference of head size and also to provide a head-mounted apparatus using it. For accomplishing this object, the mechanism of the present invention is constructed to press the frontal region and occipital region of a wearer by frontal pressing pad and occipital pressing pad whereby a device such as display part or the like is mounted on the head. In this structure frames located on the temporal regions are subjected to resistance against movement in the direction to decrease a spacing between the frames, so that no substantial pressing force is imposed on the temporal regions of the wearer.

    • An electrophotographic apparatus capable of operating both in a mode for obtaining a positive image from a negative original and in a mode for obtaining a positive image from a positive original and capable of constantly controlling the image density in either mode. The apparatus can be used selectively in either mode, and in both modes the image density can be controlled by a common operating member. The apparatus, which forms images on a recording medium by the rotation of a drum-shaped image bearing member, includes a device for forming an electrostatic latent image on the image bearing member; a development device for developing the latent image with toners charged in the same polarity as that of the image bearing member; a developing bias voltage generating device for applying a bias voltage to the development device; a corona discharge device for effecting corona discharge on a transfer station to transfer the toner image formed on the image bearing member to the recording medium; a detecting device for detecting a corona-discharged area and the other area on the image bearing member; and a device for controlling the bias voltage in correspondence with the area detected by the detecting device.
