摘要： A user equipment (UE) conducting machine-type communication (MTC) attempts to blindly decode a message it received using a pre-arranged and finite set of transport formats; and sends on an uplink radio resource feedback about the message, wherein the feedback is based on a result of the blind decoding. Each transport format of the pre-arranged set comprises a unique combination of modulation and coding scheme, physical resource block set;, and number of transmit repetitions. Prior to the message the pre-arranged set may be indicated to the UE in wireless signaling, or it may be specified in a radio standard. The set may be designated for downlink messages and a second set designated for uplink messages. Various embodiments are described for the uplink radio resource on which the feedback is sent, and conventional HARQ feedback is adapted for MTC in these teachings.

摘要： A hopping pattern is defined by L frequency hops among N candidate resources. L is determined from at least a total number M of frequency selective candidate resources. N is the number of candidate resources that are used for the frequency hopping. Control signaling such as an E-PDCCH is sent by a network to a UE according to this hopping pattern to achieve frequency diversity. In the examples the candidate resources are physical resource blocks PRBs. In one embodiment L=K when N =1 and L =1 otherwise ( K is predefined by the network); in another embodiment L = I M /N l. In the examples the E-PDCCH occupies different OFDM symbols in different candidate PRBs in each of the L frequency hops. Confining the hopping pattern to a maximum bandwidth of 1.4 MHz enables low cost machine type communication devices to obtain an E-PDCCH that gives their resource allocation.

摘要： A first carrier of a carrier aggregation system has a downlink control region DCR which is selectively enabled and disabled. For the case the DCR of the first carrier is disabled, a DCR of a second carrier is used to cross-schedule a user equipment for radio resources on the first carrier. In various embodiments: the DCR of the first carrier lies within an unlicensed radio frequency band; the DCR of the first carrier is disabled by signaling which reduces to zero a number of symbols reserved for the DCR and is enabled by signaling which increases from zero a number of symbols reserved for the DCR; the signaling is downlink and group-based to a plurality of user equipments. The group-based signaling may be a broadcast system information block or a group RNTI, either of which give frequency information of the DCR and an enabled/disabled status indication.
