    • PURPOSE:To prevent adverse influence of a heat lens by monitoring a laser beam on a line from right after oscillation, producing an alarm when a laser beam dia. attains reduction limitation by the generation of the heat lens of a transparent optical part and interrupting machining work. CONSTITUTION:A wire-cut type laser beam intensity distribution detecting device 3 is arranged on a laser beam optical path 1. The detecting device 3 is a device where a wire rotates at the constant speed and a detector receives reflected light from the wire and detects an intensity distribution of the laser beam and consists of only a wire rotation system and a sensor part for the purpose of miniaturizing the device and other parts are collected in a distant control box 4. In case the detecting device 3 is arranged at the upper stream of a condenser lens, it is suitable for monitoring a heat lens phenomenon of an oscillator output aperture and in case the detecting device 3 is arranged at the down stream thereof, it is also suitable for monitoring a heat lens phenomenon of the condenser lens 2 at the same time. By this method, machining is interrupted before the adverse influence of the heat lens of the optical part takes place for machining work and the adverse influence is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a laser beam equipment capable of producing a large power easily and at a low cost by adding up laser beams obtained from plural laser beam oscillators with small power each having different optical axes and reforming them into laser beams having the same optical axis. CONSTITUTION:A wave guide system 30 has plural incident holes 24 of beams these beam paths are concentrated upon one path at the branch point 25 of the wave guide in the central part of the wave guide system to connect with the outgoing hole 26. The laser beams 21 obtained from plural oscillators with small power are injected by reflective mirrors 2 into the wave guide system 30 through the direction of incident holes 24. The beams 21 are condensed by condenser optical systems 23 into the incident holes 24. The original system 23 is composed of a single lens of ZnSe for the CO2 laser beam. The beams 21 condensed at the incident hole 24 repeats multiple reflections in the wave guide 30 and advanced toward the side of the emitting hole 26. Besides, the loss of beam in the wave guide 30 of the beams emitted from the wave guide system 30 is about 15% per one laser beam 21.

The output of the laser light 4 is adjusted by the laser light output adjustment unit 6 so that a keyhole 3 formed in tube thickness of the tubular body by the laser light 4 is bottomed in the tube thickness.
