    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the responsiveness of ink with respect to an actuator in terms of an ink jet head that ejects ink in a pressurizing chamber as ink drops from a nozzle by displacing the actuator having a piezoelectric element by applying a voltage to the piezoelectric element. SOLUTION: This ink jet head comprises a thin actuator 30. A pressurizing chamber 12 is formed such that the length thereof in the longitudinal direction is shorter than a length of a common ink chamber 11 in the same direction. The common ink chamber 11 is demarcated to be formed by a rear plate 24 and a rear side face of a main plate 23. A recess section 21 for the pressurizing chamber is formed on the front side face of the main plate 23 and the pressurizing chamber 12 is demarcated to be formed by the recess section 21 and a diaphragm 26. A nozzle plate 25 is provided to the front side face of the main plate 23. The diaphragm 26 is provided to the front side face of the nozzle plate 25 and a piezoelectric element 27 and an individual electrode 28 are provided to the front side face of the diaphragm 26.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable good printing without oozing, permeation or the like even when a characteristic of a recording medium is changed variously, by performing printing to a part where printing dots formed by ink droplets of different discharge amounts from nozzle holes are in touch with each other, by means of a system carrying out the printing from ink droplets of a smaller discharge amount earlier. SOLUTION: A substrate 18 stored in a head base 25 having a common ink chamber 24 is sealed by a nozzle plate 20 having nozzle holes 21. A plurality of ink passages 15 communicating with the common ink chamber 24 are formed at regular intervals in the upper face of the substrate 18. A terminal end of the ink passage is made a pressure chamber 12. Each ink passage communicates with the nozzle hole 21. When ink droplets are discharged, it is manipulated so that dots of ink drops of at least two different discharge amounts are printing on a paper in the order from ones of a smaller discharge amount. Accordingly, mixture of ink colors is prevented and beautiful printing dots are obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a device for discharging ink and an ink-jet head by which electroconductive ink is stably discharged in a long period by providing a means for impressing voltage to a couple of electrodes provided in an ink chamber and providing dielectric membranes in the parts of the electrodes which contact the electroconductive ink. CONSTITUTION:The electrode part of a device for discharging ink is constituted of electroconductive ink 11, and ink chamber 12 filled with ink 11, a couple of electrodes 13a, 13b provided in the ink chamber 12, dielectric membranes 14a, 14b formed on the electrodes 13a, 13b a nozzle 15, a base plate 16 on which the electrodes 13a, 13b are arranged, a voltage-impressing means 17 and a channel of ink through which electroconductive ink 11 is supplied to the ink chamber 12. Electroconductive ink 11 is passed through an ink introduction port via an ink filter from an ink tank according to printing actuation and introduced into a common ink chamber and supplied from the common ink chamber to the ink chamber 12. Alumina and tantalum oxide are suitable for the dielectric membranes 14a, 14b. These are very stable electrochemically. Oxidation and dissolving of the electrodes 13a, 13b and the dielectric membranes 14a, 14b are prevented.
