    • A Technique for Efficient Message Delivery in Ad Hoc, Mesh, Wireless Computer Networks. The method and system of the present invention permits reliable wireless messaging between nodes on an ad hoc basis. The method is executed at each node in an iterative fashion, If a node is not the destination node for a particular message, that node will retransmit a received message. As the message is received and retransmitted from node to node, the message will propagate through the networked nodes until it reaches its destination node. In order to prevent the retransmission of messages into perpetuity, the method will limit the number of times that a particular node can retransmit a particular message. Once that retransmission limit is reached by a particular node for a particular message, the message retransmission will cease at that node, and the message will expire. The message will also expire after a pre-set time to live parameter has elapsed.

    • An automatic disengaging method for a master clutch dependent power take-off (PTO) arranged in a vehicle for preventing undesired movement or actions of the implements associated with the PTO and undesired wear of a clutch collar (release bearing). The PTO is driven by an engine via a master clutch between a crankshaft of the engine and an input shaft in a gearbox. The gear box further comprises an output shaft which is powered by the input shaft, optionally via an intermediate shaft. A power take-off is connected to the input shaft or, optionally, to the intermediate shaft. The system further includes a control unit connected to the master clutch and the gear box. When the control unit registers that the master clutch is disengaged, a gear is engaged in the gearbox and certain conditions are fulfilled (e.g. a parking brake has been actuated for a certain time), the control unit performs the operations of putting the gearbox in a neutral position, disable the power take-off, if the power take-off is enabled, and engage the master clutch.

    • Method and Apparatus to Perform Reactive Jamming While Simultaneously Avoiding Friendly Pseudo-Random Frequency Hopping Communications is disclosed. The system provides an enhancement to surgical reactive jammers that combines near-real-time jamming capability with the additional feature of allowing tactical communications. The jammer includes a synchronization subsystem that synchronizes jammer lockout frequencies with those frequencies being hopped to by units that are members of a friendly communications network. The synchronization subsystem is coordinated with, and therefore tied to the time-synchronized cryptography of the friendly communications net. As a result, the jammer will be aware, on a real-time basis, which frequency the friendly communications network will next be hopping to. The jammer's awareness of these future frequencies will allow those frequencies to be “locked out” of the jammer's transmission band dynamically.

    • A Method and System for Collecting and Surveying Radio Communications From a Specific Protected Area of Operations in or Around a Compound. It is an object of the present invention to provide just such a method to automatically detect communications signals in near real time, from any selectable sub-area of a compound. Such a system would greatly enhance the operational capabilities of the twenty-first century organization by providing a real-time capability to secure radio communications in and around a compound. The system has all the abilities of the system described in the '976 application, but is further able to automatically detect the direction of the incoming signals (relative to two or more collector subsystems in communication with each other), and thereafter to add that information to the surveillance decision logic such that the actual geographical location, as adjusted by the calibration information for the particular compound surveillance decision logic. Secondly, the system has the capability of being calibrated such that the particular RF environment of the compound in question is uniquely mapped. The calibration tables maintained by each network-attached directional collection node of the system invention in order to provide a more robust and accurate signal geo-location system. Thirdly, the system is able to automatically pinpoint the geographic area of the source of the incoming signals and add that information to the monitoring decision logic. Finally, the system provides a user interface to operators so they can easily select areas to monitor, and easily calibrate the system for maximum precision.
