    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce the pressure loss in the intake passage system and to improve the volumetric efficiency of the titled compressor by a method wherein the angle of an intake port with respect to the center of a rotor at the terminating point of intake is advanced in the rotational direction of the rotor from a geometrical terminating point of intake so that the sectional area of the intake port is enlarged. CONSTITUTION:The angle O2 of the intake port 18 with respect to the center of the rotor 6 at the terminating point of intake is advanced in the rotational direction of the rotor from the geometrical angle theta1. Accordingly, it is possible to enlarge the sectional area of the intake port 18 and also to enlarge the surface area of the throat of the intake port 18 (the axial surface area defined by a cam ring 4 and the rotor 6 lying at the intake terminating point angle). Thus, since it is possible to enlarge the sectional area of the intake port and the surface area of the throat of the port, the pressure loss in the intake passage system can be reduced to thereby improve the volumetric efficiency of the compressor.

    • PURPOSE:To supply oil of constantly stable back pressure to the backside of vanes without any deterioration of the capacity of a captioned compressor by providing a throttle constructed of sintered alloy or metal filter in an oil passage to conduct the oil under a discharge pressure tothe backside of vanes. CONSTITUTION:A filter 32 constructed of sintered alloy or metal filter is inserted into an oil-feed hole 31 connected to the back space of vanes 15 in an R plate 4. The oil under a discharge pressure is reduced in its pressure by the resistance of the flow passage of this filter 32, and the oil of a proper pressure is supplied to the backside of vanes 15. This construction permits to supply the oil of constantly stable back pressure to the backside of vanes. That is, since the surface area of the filter 32 is much greater than a single throttling hole or the like, this part is free from choking. Meanwhile, since dust or the like can be filtered by the filter 32, vanes 15 and others can be prevented from damages for obtaining a long life of a compressor.

    • PURPOSE:To raise the oil separating efficiency, by providing a baffle plate for receiving gas from a discharge port of a compressor and scattering the same to the surroundings, and an oil separating member disposed around the baffle plate for capturing the scattered oil. CONSTITUTION:An oil separator is provided in a chamber at the portion thereof located between an outlet port and a discharge port 9. Oil separated by the oil separator is reserved at a lower portion in the chamber and then supplied from an oil suppory port 15 to bearings and back side of vanes. Here, gas discharged from the outlet port 8 of a compressor is carried into a suction passage 16 and brought into abutment with a baffle plate 17 which is shaped in a conical from. Therefore, oil particles contained in coolant gas is scattered to the circumferential directions of the baffle plate 17 and captured by an oil separating member 18 disposed in the manner of surrounding the baffle plate 17. The oil thus captured by the member 18 drops downward and is then discharged to the outside from the back of the baffle plate through a discharge passage 19.

    • PURPOSE:To raise the oil separating efficiency and to confine oil always in a chamber, by superposing a plurality of plates having many longitudinal grooves formed on both surfaces thereof with a proper spacing from each other, and flowing discharge gas from a compressor in a direction perpendicular to the grooves. CONSTITUTION:High-pressure gas discharged from an outlet port 10 is carried through a discharge gas passage 15 and enters into a space 17 in an oil separator by the function of its own pressure. Gases thus introduced into the space 17 from a plurality of such discharge gas passages 15 collide to each other, so that fine particles of oil contained in coolant gas are developed into droplets of oil. While the droplets of oil flow through the spaces formed between plates 19 formed with grooves in a direction perpendiculr to the length of the grooves, droplets of oil are captured by the grooves and made to flow downward under its own weight and pressure of gas in the grooves. In the vertical direction in the spaces between the grooved plates 19, on the other hand, gas flow is restricted by spacers 24, so that gas is made to flow dividedly in both of the right and left directions.

CONSTITUTION:A cooling medium drawn from a suction port 6 along with rotation of a rotor 4 is compressed gradually with decreasing of the volume of a compression chamber 10 defined by a vane 3, rotor 4 and the inner surface of a cam ring 1 and then discharged to the outside from a chamber 11 via a discharge port 7, discharge valve means 8 and discharge passage 9. Here, if the vane height and a distance rm between the center of gravity of the vane 3 and the center of the rotor 4 are selected such that the sum of the distance rm and the acceleration speed of the vane 3 in its slot is positive, the vane 3 is prevented from being detached from the inner surface of the cam ring 1. Therefore, it is enabled to prevent lowering in the performance of the compressor due to leakage of cooling medium or production of noises due to the chattering of the vanes.

CONSTITUTION:The boss part 27 abutting on a rig 26 and forming an axle sealing chamber, and a baffle 28 in the manner of adhereing to the surface of an inside wall of the outermost circumference, are provided to the captioned device, as well as to provide a reinforcement rib 26, projecting to the inside of a low pressure chamber 16, to the disk-like surface of a low pressure chamber 16. A notched part 30 is provided so that a baffle 28 and the projected part 29 of a front cover 10 do not interfere with each other, and also, an open space 31 is formed between the disk surface of a front cover 10 and a baffle 28. The refrigerant flowing in from a suction port 15 flows through the surface of inside wall of the outermost circumference of a low pressure chamber 16, a baffle 28, and a low pressure chamber 16. A part of the refrigerant flows into an open space 31 via notched part 30 to form a heat insulating layer, shutting off heat, and reduces overheating of refrigerant in the low pressure chamber 16.

    • PURPOSE:To improve sealing performance at the rotor section of the screw type compressor, by causing adiabatic expansion of oil separated from coolant gas, and supplying cooled oil to a section where rotors are in mesh with each other while feeding released gas to the inlet side of the rotors. CONSTITUTION:Coolant gas drawn into a rotor section 1 and compressed therein is carried into a primary outlet chamber 4, where the coolant gas is separated into oil and gas. The oil thus separated from the coolant gas is carried via a restriction means 5 into a low-pressure, secondary chamber 6, where it is expanded adiabatically, and oil thus cooled is injected, by means of an oil pump 7, into a section where rotors 2, 3 are in mesh with each other, while released gas is carried to the inlet side of rotors 2, 3. Since, with such an arrangement, viscosity of oil injected to the aforesaid section where rotors 2, 3 are in mesh with each other can be raised if an oil having a low viscosity at a given temperature is used, it is enabled to improve the rotor sealing performance.
