    • A multiple-piece solid core golf ball includes a solid core including an inner core layer and an outer core layer, and a cover disposed on the outside of the solid core. The inner core layer has an outer diameter of at most approximately 25 mm and is formed of a material having a loss tangent (tan δ) of at least approximately 0.1. The outer core layer is formed of a material having a loss tangent (tan δ) of from approximately 0.01 to approximately 0.1. The difference between the loss tangent (tan δ) of the material forming the inner core layer and the loss tangent (tan δ) of the material forming the outer core layer is at least approximately 0.05.

    • The invention provides a molded polymer material which is obtained by subjecting a polymer composition that includes (A) at least one polymer containing α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, (B) at least one diene polymer, (C) at least one metal cation source, and (D) at least one organic peroxide, and has a chemical structure arrived at by neutralizing some or all of the carboxyl groups in component A with component C in the presence of component B, to molding and crosslinking under the influence of radicals generated by decomposing component D. The molded polymer material has a high resilience, a high hardness and a good durability, making it well-suited for use in golf balls.

An object of the present invention is to provide an engine control system and method capable of improving a drive feel and emissions simultaneously by integrally controlling fuel injection, induction air and EGR.

    • The invention provides a molded rubber material for a golf ball which is obtained by molding and vulcanizing a rubber composition that includes a portion of a master batch prepared by mixing together a synthetic rubber, an unsaturated carboxylic acid metal salt and a higher fatty acid or metal salt thereof, and includes also a diene rubber and an organic peroxide, wherein the master batch is prepared at a maximum temperature attained during preparation of above 110° C. Also disclosed are a method of producing such a molded rubber material, and a golf ball in which such a molded rubber material is used as a component of the ball. Use of the molded rubber material as a golf ball core enables a good core hardness under load and a good core resilience to be achieved.
