摘要： PURPOSE:To easily and securely clean a heat roll in fixation and to improve the reliability and operation rate by providing a roll cleaner for cleaning the heat roll, and moving a scraper and securing an operation space when the heat roll needs not be cleaned. CONSTITUTION:A toner image 2 is fixed by heat pressing at the contact point A between the heat roll 3 and a pressure roll 4. At this time, oil is sprayed on the surface of the heat roll from a nozzle 6 and a web 7 is pressed. At the same time, the scraper 12 of the roll cleaner 1 is pressed against the heat roll 3 to scrape offset toner sticking on the roll surface and oil is fed from felt 17 in a receiving pan 18 to clean the roll 3 completely. When the cleaning is not necessary or when the scraper is replaced, the web 7 and scraper 12 are separated from the roll 3 and the scraper is easily replaced. Therefore, the cleaning is performed securely and the reliability and operation rate are improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent fixing defect caused by the wrinkle of a sheet during passing through between a heating roll and a back roll when printing starts, by sucking and adhering the sheet to a preheating plate with the aid of a blower connected to sucking slots provided on the preheating plate while printing is performed and stopping sucking the sheet to the preheating plate while no printing is performed. CONSTITUTION:Plural sucking slots 8 are provided on the surface of the preheating plate 7. It makes the sheet 20 adhere by sucking to negative pressure and heighten coefficient of thermal conductivity. Since the back roll 11 opens in the direction in which the path length of the sheet shortens such as dotted line while no printing is performed, shutting a valve stops the suction of the sucking slots 8. Then a scantly gap is created between the sheet 20 and the preheating plate 7 and lowering of coefficient of thermal conductivity prevents unnecessary temperature rising of the sheet. Thus, sheet distortion caused by extreme thermal contraction does not occur and the wrinkle of a sheet at a fixing roll does not occur when printing starts.

摘要： PURPOSE:To perform highly accurate printing by detecting the temperature of printing paper after fixing and controlling the temperatures of a fixing heating plate and heat-pressure roller by comparing the temperature detecting output with respective reference values. CONSTITUTION:A paper 6 to which a toner image is transferred by means of a transferring device 5 is sent to a heat-pressure roller 8 after it is preheated by a fixing heating plate 7, and fixed. When the paper 6 is sent to the plate 7 and roller 8, the output signal of a temperature detector 10 installed to a stacker 9 is inputted to comparators 11 and 12, where the output signal is compared with respective reference values of the comparators 11 and 12 and the compared outputs are inputted to temperature control circuits 13 and 14. The control circuits 13 and 14 operate in accordance with respective compared outputs and control the plate 7 and roller 8 to the optimum temperatures. Therefore, the paper is always held in the optimum state and stable high-quality printed pictures can be obtained.

The cooling wind flows through the gaps, thereby cooling the paper 1.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the meandering of a sheet of paper at the start of conveyance by setting either of the right and left in the roller shaft directing of the contact pressure between thermal and pressure rollers of elastic bodies higher at the start of conveying a sheet of paper and returning to the original condition when a proper time elapsed. The contact pressure on both ends of the pressure roller 208 can be varied by a motor 304. Hence, in the change in angular velocity in the torsional rigidity by the driving motor 304 of the thermal roller 27, the higher contact pressure on the driving side can make the driving side relatively the same diameter as the opposite driving side making the peripheral velocities on the driving side and the opposite driving side the same, to prevent meandering at the time of starting conveyance. After a proper time elapsed, the pressure is returned to the original condition, and the same adjustment of meandering as before is carried out.
