CONSTITUTION:Flooding pipes 3C radially provided to a radius direction from a center, a porous plate 4C divided into several sections equal to radial numbers and a shelf stage A1C comprising almost crescent shaped liquid receiving plates 2C provided to the peripheral part of the shelf stage along the inner wall of a cylindrical container 6 are provided to the inside of the cylindrical container 6. The shelf stage A and a shelf stage B constituted from radial liquid receiving parts 2d, a porous plate 4d and almost crescent shaped flooding pipes 3d are alternatively provided to the inside of the cylindrical container 6. By constituting the gas-liquid contact apparatus as described above, weeping phenomenon and partial foaming phenomenon of a liquid film can be controlled and high gas- liquid contact efficiency can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To utilize a heat transfer plate itself as a reinforcing member in a plate type heat exchanger by forming a wavy header portion at the heat transfer plate and forming to surround the header portion by an wavy surface making low pressure fluid passage contact with the raised top and rcessed bottom of a high pressure fluid passage. CONSTITUTION:A heat transfer plate 13 incorporates semi-circular wavy surfaces 4 formed at projected and recessed portions of no lateral phase displacement. In order to produce a heat transfer plate pair with two heat transfer plates, the projected top portion 15 and the recessed bottom portion 16 of the wavy surface make close contact with the top 15 and bottom 16 of other heat transfer plate obtained before reversing it upside down. Both lateral ends of the heat transfer plates are continuously sealed at both ends between the transfer plate pair and the transfer plate, sealing plate 21 by a sealing plate 22 longitudinally to thereby longitudinally continuously seal between one heat transfer pair and other transfer plate excluding fluid inlet and outlet portions from inlet and outlet headers 18 and 19.

In order to condensation liquefy the gas, currents 124, 128 of liquid drawn from two points of intermediate press. tower 4 of the rectifying tower are reduced in press. with expansion valves 14, 13 to generate a cold source and supplied to the primary side of exchanger 12 as cooling currents 130, 129. These currents are then supplied from the secondary side of exchanger 12 as currents 125, 131 to a suitable plate in the intermediate part of tower 6.
