    • PURPOSE: To output sufficient torque even in the case of regenerative operation by correcting a frequency command on the output of a regenerative discriminating part. CONSTITUTION: The input of a controller into an integrator 11 is not command angular frequency ω, but the second command frequency ω' which is the output of a frequency correction part 10 for correcting the command angular frequency ω. The frequency correction part 10 consists of a regenerative discriminating part 6 for detecting, from the command angular frequency ω and torque correct Iq, that an induction machine is in a regenerative state, a correction quantity output part 7 for outputting the correcting quantity proportional to the torque current Iq, a switching device 9 for outputting the output of the correction quantity output part 7 only in the case of regenerative operation on the output of the regenerative discriminating part 6, and a subtracter 8 for subtracting the output of the switching device 9 from the command angular frequency ω. When the induction machine is in a regenerative state, the quantity obtained by subtracting the correction quantity proportional to the torque current Iq from the command angular frequency ω is inputted into the integrator 11. It is thus possible to output sufficient torque even in the case of regenerative operation.
