摘要： PURPOSE:To constitute the data processing system of a reproduction system as one system by demodulating data-compressed audio data and recording the data digitally when a video signal and its audio signal are recorded magnetically. CONSTITUTION:The audio signal which is multiplexed on the time base in the blanking period of an MUSE signal when inputted from an MUSE audio signal terminal 11 is converted by an A/D converter 134 into a ternary digital signal, which is processed by an MUSE audio frequency time expansion processing part 14; and its error in transmission is corrected by an error correcting circuit 15 and the signal is demodulated by a semi-instantaneously companding DPCM demodulator 16. An audio framing processing circuit 20 divides the audio data with time and compresses data of two or four channels with time to distribute the data, frame by frame, so that audio frame after formatting processing are outputted from a recording audio signal output terminal 21. At this time, the data amount of the output digital signal is made constant irrelevantly to the number of audio channels. Consequently, the audio signal processing of the reproduction system is performed by this one system.

In the case of recording a high definition video signal, the video signal is inputted from an input terminal 8, divided into two channels by a channel split circuit 9, fed respectively to a recording signal processing circuit 10 and a recording signal processing circuit 11, where the recording processing such as FM modulation is applied. Then the recording heads 12, 13 are used for recording heads recording separate 1st and 2nd channel signals recorded on divided channels. Thus, the recording and reproduction for the existing standard video signal and the high definition video signal are attained by the plural sets of the magnetic heads.

Then, the signals are recorded onto a magnetic tape 21. Thus, the high fidelity signal or the standard television signal, etc., can be recorded by one device.

Thereby, it is possible to automatically enjoy the image with the correct aspect ratio at the display device when the reproduction is performed.

In such a constitution, a dynamic range is increased together with reduction of the influence of the fluctuation of the power supply voltage or the change of the temperature characteristics.
