摘要： A method for reducing false alarms for a security system when the security system is programmed to automatically arm the security system. The method reduces false alarms by preventing the security system to auto-arm the system in away mode based upon certain detected events within the premises. The method comprise the steps of determining if a current time equals or is within a predetermined detection period, judging whether at least one of a plurality of motion sensors have detected an event within a protected area during the predetermined detection period, determining if a premises exit signal has been generated within a predetermined period from said detected movement, generating an automatic arm adjustment signal based upon said detected event and the premises edit signal; and executing a modification to the programmed automatic arm based upon the automatic arm adjustment signal. The method will also notify the owner that the auto-arm mode failed.

摘要： Described are a variety of techniques for viewing multimedia-based information in accordance with user controls for the speed and direction of the multimedia presentation. Different techniques for presenting multimedia data items are disclosed. User controls providing control for speed and direction in accordance with a user selection device being in a particular location. When a user device is within the defined area, the speed and direction control are on. When the user selection device leaves the defined area, the speed and direction are off. Also described is a system using a browser tool for displaying multimedia data in accordance with these viewing techniques. Multimedia data items displayed with the viewing techniques are indices into multimedia presentations. A user selection is made by viewing the multimedia data items and control is transferred accordingly to an appropriate application to present a multimedia presentation corresponding to a selected multimedia data item. A technique is disclosed for generating an index database of the multimedia data items used as indices into the multimedia presentations.

摘要： Probes labeled with 1,2-dioxetane precursors can be employed in a variety of assays. The probes may be nucleic acid, peptide nucleic acid, proteins including enzyme, antibody or antigen, steroid, carbohydrate, drug or non-drug hapten. The probe is provided with a 1,2-dioxetane precursor bound thereto, generally either covalently, or a strong ligand bond. The dioxetane precursor moiety is converted to a bound 1,2-dioxetane by exposure to singlet oxygen. These dioxetane (labels) either spontaneously decompose, or are induced to decompose by an appropriate trigger to release light. The trigger may be a change in pH temperature, or an agent which removes a protective group. Assay formats in which these 1,2-dioxetane labeled probes and referents may be used to include hybridization assays, immuno assays, gel-based assays and Capillary Zone Electrophoresis.

There is also a cleat with the cleat to shoe/shim mating face having one or more friction inducing pads that comprise a pocket to allow space for friction material to flow when the cleat is mated to the shoe, shim or another shim.
