    • The invention relates to fast serial-parallel and parallel-serial converters, and in them included frequency dividers. The serial-parallel converter comprises a shift register, an output register and a frequency divider. The parallel-serial converter comprises a register and a frequency divider. All registers and frequency dividers comprise clock inputs, that each is connected to some incoming clock signal. According to the invention, the frequency divider comprises at least two circuits with the function of AND-gates with clocked memory circuits. Each circuit comprises a clock input, a first AND-input, a second AND-input, and at least one output that outputs the value of the logical AND-function of the two AND-inputs. The first AND-inputs are connected to each other and to an inverted signal from one of the outputs. The second AND-inputs except on the first circuit are connected to the output of the preceding circuit. Finally a frequency divided clock signal may be taken out from one of the outputs.

    • A method is provided for controlling a driving distance between a host vehicle and a first vehicle driving in front of the host vehicle, the host vehicle driving at a driving speed and at the driving distance to the first vehicle. The host vehicle includes a system for controlling the driving distance and a fuel saving system, wherein the system for controlling the driving distance is adapted to retain the driving distance at not less than a preset minimum safety distance, and wherein the fuel saving system includes an automatic speed increasing function which in case of fulfillment of a set of conditions automatically increases the driving speed in order to utilize kinetic energy inherent in the host vehicle to save fuel. The method includes retrieving information that the set of conditions is fulfilled such that the activation of the automatic speed increasing function is enabled, generating an altered safety distance by altering the preset safety distance by an offset distance, and if the driving distance is less than the altered safety distance, adapting the driving speed until the altered safety distance is reached, whereafter activation of the automatic speed increasing function is allowable, and, upon the activation, resetting the preset minimum safety distance such that the offset distance is available during the activity of the speed increasing function.

    • The present invention relates to a method and arrangement for an improved noise canceller in a speech encoder. Sound signals are captured at a primary microphone in conjunction with a reference microphone. An adaptive shadow filter is adapted to the correlation between the signals captured at the primary and reference microphones. Further, a diffuse-noise-field detector is introduced which detects the presence of diffuse noise. When the diffuse-noise-field detector detects diffuse noise, the filter coefficients of the adapted shadow filter is used by a primary filter to cancel the diffuse noise at the signal captured by the primary microphone. Since the filter coefficients of the adapted shadow filter only is used for cancellation when diffuse noise is solely detected, cancellation of the speech signal is avoided.
