    • A method, device and system for signal encoding and decoding are disclosed. The method includes: encoding a core layer signal to obtain a core layer signal code; selecting an enhancement sample point that requires enhancement layer signal encoding according to the core layer signal code and the number of bits that can be used by an enhancement layer; obtaining an enhancement layer signal code of the enhancement sample point; and outputting a bit stream, where the bit stream includes the core layer signal code and the enhancement layer signal code. In embodiments of the present invention, according to the number of bits that can be used by the enhancement layer, the enhancement sample point that requires enhancement layer signal encoding is selected; the enhancement layer signal of the selected enhancement sample point is encoded and decoded; when no sufficient bits are available for the enhancement layer, the enhancement quality of the core layer can be improved.

    • An exemplary foldable device includes a main body, a cover coupling a display unit, and a hinge mechanism rotatably connecting the cover to the main body. The main body includes a first connecting rod defining a first connecting hole and a second connecting rod defining a second connecting hole. The hinge mechanism includes two support plates, a rotary member, and a rotary shaft. The two support plates are fixed to the first connecting rod. The rotary member is rotatably positioned between the two support plates and defines a through hole. The rotary shaft includes a first end that extends through the through hole of the rotary member and can be fitted into the first connecting hole or the second connecting hole, and an opposite second end fixed to the cover. Thus the cover can be rotated about the first connecting rod or the second connecting rod.

    • An input inducing device is provided. The input inducing device includes a winding, a current sensor, and a processing unit. Two ends of the winding are connected to the current sensor and form a closed-loop with the current sensor. When a magnetic object moves towards the winding, the winding cuts magnetic induction lines of the magnetic object to generate an induced current, the current sensor senses the induced current and generates a sensing signal according to the sensed induced current. The sensing signal is transmitted to the processing unit, which then implements a predetermined function according to the sensing signal.

    • A fastening structure for an expansion card has a pair of blocks disposed in a case. Each block has a slit, and each slit is facing and parallel to the slit on the other block. When fastening the expansion card, two opposite sides of the expansion card may be engaged into the opening of the pair of slits. At least a locking tab having a dent is disposed on one block and may rotate around the block. When the locking tab rotates, the dent and the slit may be selectively aligned or misaligned. When the dent and the slit are aligned, they may form a continuous passage for a side of the expansion card slitting into. Or when they are misaligned, the sidewall of the dent may block up the slit.

    • A system and method avoids anomalies in presence of data manipulation language (DML) plans maintaining dependent objects and snapshot isolation. An anomaly due to using a snapshot isolation level within the transaction is detected within a database transaction and the transaction is aborted based upon that detection. Involved in making the anomaly detection is determining whether a view of particular data accessed during the transaction under a snapshot isolation view to ensure read consistency differs from a view of the data under another isolation level, such as the read committed isolation level. Then a detection is made that an anomaly may occur if it is determined that the view of the data accessed during the transaction under the snapshot isolation differs from the view of the data under the other isolation level. Such anomaly avoidance prevents an indexed view being maintained nor a referential integrity constraint validated based on incorrect data.
