    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fume treating method as an improvement of the method released in IPA. No.WO-00/48,709, in particular an improvement in the recovery of the recyclable energy contained in the fume.
      SOLUTION: The fume from a gas turbine TG is cooled by heat exchangers E1, E2, E01, E02 and E03, and compressed by compressors C1 and C2. The carbon dioxide in the cooled high-pressure fume is decreased in a treatment plant 10. The fume with the carbon dioxide decreased is heated by the heat exchangers E1 and E2 and expanded by turbines T2 and T1 step by step. The energy recovered in the form of heat by the heat exchangers E01, E02, and E03 is converted into a mechanical energy by an engine cycle consisting of a turbine T, a condenser E, and a pump P. The mechanical energy can be used at the shaft of the turbine T.
