    • An apparatus for curving a needle (30) is provided which comprises at least two generally cylindrical members (20,22) rotatably connected to a frame (12). At least one anvil shaft (24) is positioned substantially between the cylindrical members (20,22) and is rotatably connected to the frame (12). A needle (30) is positionable between the anvil shaft (24) and the cylindrical members (20,22) such that the needle (30) is curvable about the anvil shaft (24). A driving assembly (28) rotates at least one of the cylindrical members (20,22) and the anvil shaft (24) such that the needle (30) is curved about the anvil shaft (24) by advancement between the anvil shaft (24) and the rotatable members (20,22), and then expelled from the apparatus.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work efficiency by maintaining eccentric amount of a metal bar material in constant during bending and simplifying a structure of a device. SOLUTION: The bending device 10 for steel pipe 1 includes a heating section 11 to heat the steel pipe 1, a cooling section 20 to cool the heated portion, a moving means to move the heating section 11 and a cooling section 20 relatively to the steel pipe 1, a steel pipe carrying section 6 which draws a front end pinching part 2 attached to an end of the steel pipe 1 and a wire 4b locked to the front end pinching part and applies compression force on the eccentric axis line eccentrically shifted by a designated distance from the central axis of the steel pipe 1, an end part rotating arm to rotate the front end pinching part 2 with the rotation axis conforming to the bending curvature or the bending profile as the center, an eccentric distance maintaining member 8 with the shape conforming to the bending curvature or the bending profile, around which the wire 4b is wound, and a pressure roller 34 supported by a rotation shaft 31 of the end part rotating arm 33 and rotatably pressed on the steel pipe 1.
