摘要： A catalyst for removing carbon monoxide (CO) in a hydrogen rich gas according to a water gas shift reaction is provided, which is characterized in that platinum and rhenium are supported on rutile titania as a support. This catalyst provides a high CO conversion at a relatively low reaction temperature between 200° C. and 300° C. and is excellent in cost/performance due to a reduction in amount of supported platinum. It is preferred that a weight ratio of an amount of supported platinum to an amount of supported rhenium is in a range of 3:1 to 1:1, and particularly 3:2. In addition, when the catalyst is produced by supporting rhenium first and then platinum on the support, the catalyst performance can be remarkably improved.

摘要： A structured catalyst for selective reduction of nitrogen oxides with ammonia using an ammonia-supplying compound. The catalyst is preferably used for exhaust gas treatment of diesel vehicles powered by diesel motors. The catalyst is characterized by the fact that it contains a reduction catalyst for selective reduction of nitrogen oxides with ammonia and a hydrolysis catalyst for the hydrolysis of urea, where the hydrolysis catalyst is applied in the form of a coating onto the reduction catalyst. By this arrangement of the two catalytic functions in one catalyst the exhaust gas system can be made very compactly and space saving. Moreover, advantageous synergistic effects result from the direct contact of the hydrolysis catalyst and the reduction catalyst.

摘要： A catalytic oxidation system and method for the treatment of volatile organic compounds in which VOC-containing gas is preheated in a heat exchanger for raising its temperature before oxidation in a catalytic oxidizer without use of a burner. A reduced portion of the VOC-containing gas is diverted into an internal combustion engine with the exhaust mixed with the preheated VOC-containing gas to further raise the temperature of the mixed gas to a required reaction temperature for oxidation of the VOC-containing gas in the catalyst bed of the catalytic oxidizer. Heat from the catalytic reaction is recovered to assist preheating the VOC-containing gas in the heat exchanger.

摘要： An FCC feed injection arrangement injects feed transversely from the sides of a restricted opening into a stream of FCC catalyst to provide good feed and catalyst contacting in an arrangement that simplifies external pipe configurations and maintenance of the feed injection system. The invention forms a venturi or restricted opening by forming a generally square opening between two parallel extended chords on opposite sides of the riser. A venturi area may be built out of refractory lining or other abrasion-resistant structures. The invention may use horizontally extended pipes that are tangentially positioned apart from each other across from the restricted opening to provide a simple construction for the feed injection arrangement. The pipes are easily inserted and withdrawn from the riser to permit easy maintenance of the nozzles in the highly erosive environment. Insertable pipe distributors for distributing feed may be arranged to provide good overall distribution while also providing cooling to the outer surface of the distribution conduit to prevent coking. The distribution conduit may also be arranged to provide mixing of oil and steam near the injection point of the nozzles.

摘要： A continuous process for the preparation of 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutanoic acid or a salt thereof which includes introducing an aqueous mineral acid into a nitrile hydrolysis reactor including a continuous stirred tank reactor and introducing 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutanenitrile into the nitrile hydrolysis reactor. 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutanenitrile is continually hydrolyzed within the nitrile hydrolysis reactor to produce a nitrile hydrolysis reactor product stream containing 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutanamide. The nitrile hydrolysis reactor product stream is continuously introduced into an amide hydrolysis flow reactor. 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutanamide is continually hydrolyzed within the amide hydrolysis flow reactor to produce an aqueous hydrolyzate product containing 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutanoic acid. 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutanoic acid is recovered from the aqueous hydrolyzate product.
