    • The device described is an Electronic Simulator for use as a teaching aid. This device uses fluid with suspended particles representing electrons that can be seen flowing through the transparent parts. This hydraulic based teaching aid visually demonstrates electronic principles including but not limited to; voltage, current, circuit path, resistance, capacitance, and semiconductors. Battery, Capacitor, Conductor, Diode, Resistor, Switch and Transistor functions are all simulated with quick connected transparent hydraulic components. A flow meter measures current Amps. A pressure gauge measures Volts Seeing the “electrons” flow thru the transparent components teaches the basic principles of electronics quickly and easily. A small air pump serves to charge the Battery. When pneumatically pressurized, the Battery supplies the hydraulic force to push the particle suspended fluid through the different components. As a teaching aid, the electronic simulator includes an instructional booklet and interactive CD that provides various circuit configuration connection diagrams.

    • A display for demonstrating puncture sealant tires includes a housing for supporting a tire in an upright position having a base supporting an upstanding frame, a tire restraint on the frame for holding the tire in its upright position, and a pair of spaced apart rollers rotatably mounted on the base for permitting rotation of the tire with respect to the housing to any desired position. A spike member is mounted on a handle assembly which in turn is pivotally mounted on the housing frame for movement between a first non-puncturing position and a second tire puncturing position. A spring in the form of a flat resilient plastic member is mounted on the handle assembly and acts in opposition to the movement of the handle assembly to bias the handle assembly to its first non-puncturing position.

    • The training aid described herein is used to train operators of equipment, generally heavy mobile equipment, and comprises a briefcase-sized unit having a connector cable within releasably connects to the control systems and indicators on the vehicle, which have been modified in several ways. The control unit in the briefcase is capable of either simulating one or more abnormal conditions in the equipment by overriding normal readings such as on indicators, meters or alarms, or additionally actual abnormal conditions can be created in the equipment by degrading brakes, the retarder system, hydraulic steering mechanism, or actually killing the engine or the propulsive power of the unit. An instructor operates the control unit while sitting alongside a trainee, to put the trainee through a whole range of abnormal conditions, some simulated and some induced, so that in a few hours of training the trainee can experience years of problems and abnormalities in order to enable him to meet these problems better when they do occur in real life.
