摘要： The invention relates to a device for slaughtering fish, which causes the death of the fish by taking the fish by the gill cover of said fish in order to place it in a knockout position and cut only the gills without causing any visible damage on the exterior, which comprises: a means for transverse positioning which receives the fish, holds said fish by the sides and keeps the fish centered to be positioned for the start of work; a means for the longitudinal positioning of the fish, which enables the longitudinal displacement of the fish and stops the movement of said fish when it is in the position for the start of work; a means for gripping the fish, which take the fish from the position at the start of work, holding said fish by the gill cover and putting it in the knockout position, allowing also the opening of the gill cover to expose the gills in a position to be cut; a means for knocking out the fish which is in the knockout position; a means for cutting the fish which carry out the cutting of the gills of the knocked-out fish; and a releasing means, which allow the release of the dead fish.

In particular, the birds are placed into a sealed chamber and the pressure in the chamber is reduced at a continuous rate to a target decompression pressure. The low atmospheric pressure slaughter is more humane than traditional slaughter techniques and results in less spastic wing activity.

摘要： A constricting collar and method of use that provides for a means of humane end of life for a condemned individual or an individual making an end of life decision where it is legal to do so. The collar is openable and closeable to be fixed around a person's neck. The collar has a cushion at the back of the neck and a constricting member at the front. Various means can be employed to trigger the constricting member to move toward the cushion at the back of the neck, such as a screw, a screw gear, a rack and pinion gear, and an inflatable air cartridge. The method of use includes the administration of a tranquilizing agent after placement of the collar around a person's neck after which the constricting action can be activated either through a remote or a button on the collar itself or in the case of the inflatable mechanism, the application of air through a cylinder.
