CONSTITUTION:An inspection port 1 of a rotary electric machine case 10 is covered with a cover 2 to prevent a foreign material from entering. Springs 14, 15 which make contact from inside with the end of the release unit of cover engaging hooks 6, 8 at both ends of the cover 2 are provided to close the end, and the ends 14a, 15a are pressed from outside to displace the ends, thereby releasing the ends. On the other hand, when removing, a buckle 4 is pulled in a direction designated by an arrow to loosen a latch 7 and the end 14a of the spring 14 is pressed. A particular tool can be eliminated, and even if a foreign material impacts the cover 2 to, for example, deform the cover, it can prevent the cover 2 from being removed, thereby improving the safety when a vehicle is running.

    • PURPOSE: To see that a rotor does not break even if an end ring and the vicinity of the soldering part of a rotor bar are pulled to the side of periphery by the centrifugal force, etc., at rotation of a rotor. CONSTITUTION: Stamped plates 1 made of silicon steel plates are stacked around a rotor shaft 2 made of steel, and a rotor bar 3 made of brass is inserted in the hole bored in the plates 1. An end ring made of oxygen free copper is provided with a recess 5 for storing fused solder material. Flux 6 for soldering is applied in the recess 5 and at the end of the rotor bar 3. A solder material 7 made of bent bar-shaped silver solder is inserted into the end of the rotor bar 3. The end ring 4 is rotated, using a rotating stage 9. At the point of time when the end ring 4 reaches about 800 deg.C by the heating of a burner 10, the rotor bar 3 is stuck fast to the recess 5 of the end ring 4, and the temperature of soldering is raised. After the solder material 7 gets wet, the heating is stopped and the whole rotor is cooled naturally.

CONSTITUTION: The diameter of a hole for a bolt 3 for fastening the periphery of a lid 2 is machined to a fitting hole 2b of a large diameter. A cylindrical part 8c of a fastening seat 8, whose section is of a T-shape and which has a bolthole at its central part, is inserted into this fitting hole 2b. Machining is conducted in such a manner that the thickness of a peripheral part of the lid 2, into which the bolt 3 is inserted, is slightly shorter (thinner) than the length of the cylindrical part 8c of the fastening part 8. Even in a case where the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material for the lid 2, e.g. aluminium or copper, is large, the bolt 3 does not loosen: In winter time, for example, it will suffice for the purpose only by tightening the fastening seat 8, while, in summer time, although the face pressure between a fastening surface 2a of the lid 2 and the lower surface of a flange part 8a of the fastening seat 8 increases, an excessive creep can be avoided owing to a wide contact area of the lower surface of the flange part 8a.

As a result, the heat of a rotor 12 side is transmitted to the fan 14 through the contact plane A between the rotor 12 and the fan 14 and is radiated by the cooling wind of the fan 14 and the heat of a stator 4 is transmitted to a frame 1 through the contact plane B between a stator core 2 and the frame 1 and is radiated by the cooling wind flowing through the duct 18 to avoid the overheat of a rotary electric machine 21. Moreover, as the atmosphere does not flow inside the stator 4 and the rotor 12, the penetration of dust and dirt into the stator 4 and the rotor 12 can be avoided.

Further, the end cover 14 is fitted by inserting a packing 18 into the recessed place of the bearing bracket 12, and the meandering oil passages C and E are formed on the packing 18. Accordingly, when the end cover 14 is demounted, only the oil passages B and F in the bearing bracket 12 appear, and cleaning can be carried out easily.

Since the reciprocal path of sound has different length, noise is not amplified at a specific frequency and thereby high frequency noise is suppressed.
